19:forgiveness

When we get to my house all the lights are out. At first I thought everyone was asleep but then I remember my dad had a business trip so my

Mom went with him and Caleb is at some nerds house. Tobias walks me to my door.

"Goodnight Tris."

"Tobias can I ask you a favor."

"anything."

"Will you please stay with me? no one will be home

Tonight."

"Of course."

I'm so glad he said yes. I don't think I could have stayed by myself. I fumble for my keys and unlock my door. I turn on my hall light and go to my room.

"Umm I have to get changed but you can go to Caleb's room and get some his clothes if you want." I offer.

"Okay." he leaves and I throw on pajama shorts and a tanktop. He knocks on the door.

"Come in" he is wearing his boxers and one of Caleb's grey T-shirts.

"I can sleep on the couch." he says grabbing a blanket and pillow off my bed.

"No, you can sleep in my bed. it's not, like we're naked or anything."

"Are you sure?"

"Positive." he throws the blanket back on my bed and jumps on it laying on the left side. I lay down on the right side.

I wrap my arms around him. "tobias?"

"Yes tris?"

"I'm ready to talk."

"Thank you." he let's out a heavy breath. "tris you know I was drunk then and I meant nothing of what I said."

"I know it's just I don't like seeing you act like that."

"Neither do I." he says.

"Then What should we do about it?"

"I've got it." he perks up. "I'm done drinking. like forever, never again. I don't want to be like my father Tris."

"Your not at all like your father tobias." he turns his head a smiles at me.

"Tris will you give me a second chance?"

"Of course."

We are laying down and turn our heads to face the other at the same time. I take one of my arms off his waist and cup it around his cheek. He puts one arm around my back and the other on the spot where your thigh meets your butt. This makes it so my leg is lifted up and around his waist. We just lay there making out for a while.

"Tobias. Can we not go too fast? I want to save something that special for a happier night where I don't get jumped by three guys."

"Of course and glad to know your humorous about that."

"Yeah, and thank you Tobias for saving me."

"Of course what else would I have done."

I don't reply we just lay there wrapped in each other's arms until we drift off into a sleep.
