I wake up the next morning to the sound of small thumps on my window. I hop out of bed and walk over to it. When I peek through the curtains I see Tobias with his hand full of pebbles. I open the window and he drops them in the grass.

"Tobias what are you doing out there?"

"I decided when I woke up this morning I was going to take you to school."

"Umm okay that fine just let me text Chris."

"Okay well go get changed, I'll be waiting in the car."

I scurry back inside and throw on jean capris, vans, and a zip up hoodie. I put on some mascara and brush out my hair. I'm not the typical girl that wears a skirt and heels to school everyday like lost of the girls in highschool. I grab my cell phone and book bag and head downstairs. I stop in the kitchen to grab a granola bar and text Christina, then out the front door. Tobias is leaning on the passenger door and immediately a huge grin crosses his face when he sees me. I walk towards his jeep and he opens it for me when I get close enough. I get inside and he shuts my door then runs to his side.

"Wow Tobias look your not going to be late to class today!"

"Hey that was a one time thing. I was working out that morning and lost track of time." I laugh at this and faintly hear one of my favorite songs over the radio. I reach for the volume knob and run into Tobias hand.

" What were you going to turn it up also?" I ask tobias.

"God no, I was going to change the song."

"What? that's my favorite song!"

He makes a gag face. "fine we can listen to it just this one time for you."

"Why thank you, so kind." I say sarcastically. We keep listening and sometime during the song out hands intertwine. I barley noticed because with him it just feels so natural. We arrive at school and walk through the front doors and go to our lockers. There are about 20 lockers in between ours. I grab my books quickly and put a piece I gum into my mouth. When I shut my locker Peter, this rude boy who has always been calling me names, stands right next to me. I tense up immediately and he notices.

"Why so Stiff Tris?"

"I'm not. now if you could excuse me I'm going to head to class." I try and slide past him but he pulls my arm hard causing me to drop my books. I really think I hate this kid.

"Can't you just leave me alone?" I ask angrily.

"No not really." this does it. I pull my arm back and swing it forward. I expect my hand to collide with his face but something stops it from behind. I turn around to see the halls empty except for Tobias holding me back.

"Stop. Tris is everything okay?"

"Yeah it's fine, just this douchebag"

"Okay well we can't be late to class

Can we?"

"No we cant, I'm surprised you would mind being late." We both laugh, then he turns to face Peter.

"Leave her alone and I hope we won't have any problems." he says in a quiet stern voice. Which actually kind of frightens me. He wraps his hand over my back and on my other shoulder. We start our walk to class.

"So when do I get this second date tris?"

"Whenever you ask I guess."

"Okay will you go on a date with my tris?"

"No" I laugh and so does he. "Of course But as friends."

"Seriously tris? your joking right."

"Nope just as friends for now."

"We kissed though..." he whines.

"One kiss does not automatically make you my boyfriend."

"Fine." he says then smashes his lips to mine. The whole sensation comes back to me. Tingling in my feet and butterflies in my stomach. This kiss feels different than the first though. This one is full of desperation, he must really want me to be his. We pull apart.

"Eh eh. Still friends?" he says excitedly.

"Yup still friends." I laugh. I love to torture him. "but we'll just have to see after the second date." I wink at him and a huge grin crosses his face.
