Ashley faked an injury, so Colby would get here faster. I was so excited.

"Colby," Ashley called in her most enthusiastic voice. Ashley came down the stairs in her pink heels and a goofy smile. I watched her from the top. As soon as she clicked her heels, I'd walk slowly down the stairs.

"Wait, Ashley. You mean to tell me you FAKED what just happened?" Colby fumed. Ashley nodded sheepishly and clicked her heels. That was my cue. I slowly walked down the stairs to the landing, my hand on the railing, which was decorated with garland, luminous garland, I might add. After all, Christmas was 10 days away.

When I turned the corner, I saw Colby. He was gaping, examining me as I slowly approached him.

We greeted each other with an embrace, him still gaping, Ashley smiling so hard I thought she'd stay like that.

"Well, we'd best be going," I said, before my mom could get any pictures.

"Yup, we'll see you later," Colby said planting a kiss on my cheek, as I blushed.

He tossed Ashley the keys took his pickup, she drove to her house, we took my car, he drove, I sat passenger, making small talk.

"You look beautiful," he said, admiring my outfit. I didn't say anything.

"No, I mean it," he'd say.

"We're on a date, you're supposed to say that," I said. I wore a simple knee cut black skirt, a white button down blouse, ankle cut boots, and my hair, was positioned perfectly over my left shoulder, holding a clutch purse.

He insisted on paying for me, so I paid for snacks and drinks. We decided that was fair.

About halfway through the movie, when Tris asks Four to see his tattoo, Colby, being the cornball he is, pulled the oldest trick in the book, the yawn-put-your-arm-around-your-girl trick. I put my head on his chest, and he kissed the top of my head.

We shared a passionate kiss, just before the movie ended, and walked, hand in hand, back to my car.

"Iris, I hope we can do this again sometime, because I had so much fun," he smiled at me while driving home.

"I take it you thought this went well," I replied. He nodded.

"So, what are you doing next Saturday," he asked me.

"Um... Nothing, why," I asked him.

"Because I want to go out with you," he said.

"Colby, of course," I said, he gripped my face in his hands, pulled my lips to his, and he opened his car door.

"Thanks I, I'll text you later," he blew me a kiss and waved.

"Bye," I said, moving into the drivers seat.
