Chapter 50

Third person POV

Jake had went upstairs, and Abigail had gone to Danny's.

Jake still hadnt shut the oven off. He had fallen asleep, and slept through the smoke alarms. When the first flame lit, it didnt look that terrible. But the the second one came. It started the cupboard on fire, which started the wall on fire.

I'm not going to give you the whole details of the fire. All I can say is that when Abigail got home, all she saw was firemen an ambulance and the neighbors coming out of their houses to see what the comotion was all about.

Abigail POV

"What happened? Where's Jake?" I asked franically, to no one in preticular. Then I saw them carrying him  away on a stretcher, burns covering half his face. "JAKE!"  I screamed, and tried to run to him, but a police officer held me back. "NO PLEASE JAKE!" I screamed louder. "PLEASE! NO! PLEASE! I'M HIS SISTER PLEASE!"

"I'm sorry ma'am. but they need him in surgery," the officer said.

"Can I ride with him?" he nodded. I got in the back of the ambulance, and grabbed Jake's hand.

"Please Jake," I whispered through my tears. "Please make it through this. I need you."

At the hospital, I was a mess. Jake had gone into surgery, and I cant even think straight.

Robbie had come. I dont know how he gets to know that stuff, but he did. He came and he hugged me while I cried into his shoulder. He told me it would be okay. I knew it wouldnt.

It looked like he would live. But he would have to stay in the hospital for about a week for healing. He has burns covering half of his body, and he slept most of the day. Half his hair was burned off, so he decided to shave the rest.

We lost almost everything. I still had stuff like a necklace, and some pieces of clothing, and fortunately the guitar that Luke had given to me, for no reason.

But I still have a picture of Isaac and I . We were at his house the week before he died. He was standing up and laughing at a stupid joke that I said. I was laughing to.

Flashback

"Why did the mushroom go to the party?" I was already laughing at my stupid joke.

"Why?" Isaac said unamused.

"Because he was a fungi!" I burst out laughing and so did he.

"That was the stupidest joke I have ever heard," he said. I lightly punched his arm. He laughed again.

End Flashback

I smiled at the memory.

I wish everything would be alright.
