The colors of the evening sky lightly tinted the room blue and orange, the rain trickled lightly down the sliding glass door of logans apartment. Logan entered the room holding a cup of coffee, sporting contacts instead of glasses.

"What is it? Do I have coffee on my shirt?"

I shook my head

"No, it's just that I'm not used to you without glasses."

I turned my attention back to the raindrops hitting the window

"Its relaxing isn't it?"

Logan sat down at the breakfast bar and gazed out the window.

"Yeah, I've always liked the rain"

Logan looked at me and chuckled lightly

"You like rain? I'm surprised"

"Why?" I replied

Logan shifted in his chair slightly and smiled

"Well, I don't know. You seem to be a well adjusted happy person, and rain is most commonly associated with feelings of dread and even sadness. I just assumed that you would enjoy more sunny weather as it is more associated with happiness. I suppose that was rather rude of me to assume about you."

I sighed and looked at him

"Well, that is understandable. I like rain because it holds fond memories for me, me and Virgil, when we were kids used to play in it a lot and even before that my mom liked it. She used to tell me that rain was the only thing keeping her garden alive and chuckle. It just reminds me of my childhood and its relaxing"

Logan got up out of his chair and rubbed his neck slightly smiling. He left the room and returned wearing jeans, a t-shirt, and a jean jacket. He offered me his hand and smiled. I think your pants are dry, you should change.

I cocked my head to the side and looked at him

"Why"

"We just need to run a few quick errands to the...ah-the store and...uh stuff"

I quickly changed and came back downstairs. Logan was there holding a navy blue umbrella and car keys. We walked into the garage where Logan pressed a button that caused the garage door to roll up unveiling a slick black car with butterfly doors.  I felt my mouth drop down. Logan looked at me and glanced downward

"Yeah, I know its a little much but, well... it was given to me by a friend for Christmas and he insisted so I just agreed to have it"

"You want me to get in that?"

Logan looked slightly panicked

"I-I assure you its safe...if you feel more comfortable with the-the train w-"

"Logan, it's okay...I'm just worried I'm going to make it messy...that's all"

logan smiled warmly and held my hand lightly

"Patton I assure you that you're not going to do anything to mess up the car, it can always be cleaned and besides its just a car."

I nodded and stepped into the car. It had sleek dark grey seats and dark blue lights on the radio. As my body made contact with the seat I felt a shudder go down my spine. The seats were freezing cold. Logan clicked a button and I started to feel warmth radiate off my seat

"Are those-"

"Heated seats? The greatest gift given too car owners with leather seats? Why yes..yes it is"
