denim's POV

I have absolutely no idea how I got here, Cause one second I was about to be attacked by some alabasters and the next I'm here. But now we have a really big problem. I'm standing here on top of the wall, out in the open on the island of red.

Right in front of a shade of red.

"Wh- who are you?!" They asked with immense concern, their voice almost a whisper.

I couldn't trust them, I could trust no one. I booked it. I flew down the ladder. I had no idea where I would hide or what I would do now, but I had to if I want to exist any longer.

"Wait!" Their voice yelled after me. The soft tone they had spoken to me in before was gone. They started coming down the ladder as well. Oh god oh god oh god.

As soon as I got off the ladder, I dived into the nearest bush. Probably the worst hiding spot I could've picked, but it'll have to do for now.

I heard rustling. They were looking for me.

With a petrified look in my face, they found me. Pushing away the branches to reveal me, terrified and huddled into the fetal position.

"Come with me, I can hide you" I could tell they were nervous as well, but far less than me. "I'm Blush"

"Denim" I said. Unlike Denim's, I knew that all Blush's were girls. With shades, some are all going to be the same gender no matter what, some shades there can be anything, and with other shades there's no gender, like Aegeans. Denim's can be anything, and I felt more comfortable with being a boy. Her arms were long and and a light shade of red. She had short hair with a bow tied in it and big eyes. Her dress puffed out at her hips and sparkled in the minimal moonlight of dawn. I was just an inch taller than her at most. What a pretty shade.

"C'mon, we gotta get going" She said. She gave me her jacket so I'd blend in a little bit better. It's hot here, and wearing two jackets wasn't very fun.

On the edge of the city we ran through forest, until we had to dash to her house through blocks sparsely populated with people. I wanted to look at anything and everything. there was just, so much, but I had to be safe before and if my wonder could take place.

We went into her room after she offered me tea. She made a fire with her hand to heat up the water. I refrained from using my water powers to get it, cause that might've seemed a little cocky. Her feet didn't reach the ground from the bed and I paced the room, a million thoughts running a marathon inside my brain. Blush asked me to tell her how I got here, but where do I even begin my story?
