"Matthew, I want to go home." Emelia said quietly.

"What? Are you sure? Don't let him get to you Em." Matthew started getting angry.

"I said I want to go home."

"Emelia you can't just let him get to you like that! What's wrong? I thought you were over him."

"I am over him, but when someone that you gave your whole heart, soul, and self in general comes back into your life when you kicked them out you get shaken up. You of all people should know that one, Matthew." Matthew's eyes narrowed.

"Fine. Get your daughter." Emelia was taken aback at his harsh tone. She hadn't meant to go quite that far with Matthew, but she was upset. She packed up Alessia as quickly as she could and followed Matthew to his car. She strapped Alessia in and slid into the front seat silently. She watched all of the passing scenery go by as her mind wandered back to the years with Damon. She recalled all of the fun times she had with him and all of the fights they had. She sighed quietly and rested her head on the window glass. They finally arrived at her house and she heard Matthew grunt. She was snapped back to the present time and hustled to get her stuff and her daughter. Once everything was out of the car, Matthew put it in reverse and left, squealing the tires. Emelia drug all of her stuff to the house and hauled Alessia upstairs to their shared room. She placed Alessia in her playpen and sat down on her bed, numb. Suddenly, a thought hit her, she reached under her bed and found a dusty snap-lock plastic bin. She opened it up and brought out various trinkets. Her hand rested on a photo taken of her and Damon on her 16th birthday. 2 weeks before she had found out that she was pregnant. They looked so happy and so in loved. Her vision became blurry and tears threatened to run down her cheeks. She felt the bed dip next to her and an arm go around her. She lost all control over her emotions then and sobs racked her frame. The hand rubbed small circles on her back.

"Em, what happened?" Her brother asked.

"Matthew...Damon...he showed back up. Damon came back. Matthew flipped out."

"Shh, Em. Neither of them are worth your tears."

"Emmett, why? Why is he back? I told him to leave."

"I don't know, sis. All I do know is that you are strong enough to handle this and whatever you decide to do, I'm here. I'll support you no matter what." Emelia looked up at Emmett and saw concern in his face. Emelia nodded slightly and bowed her head again.

"How about you take a quick nap, I'll watch Sia."

"If you're sure..."

"I'm sure. Katie is gone today anyway, so I have nothing to do."

"Thanks Emmett."

"No problem. Now sleep." Emelia nodded and watched her brother pick up her daughter and coo softly to her. Emelia put her head down on her pillow and thought about all these day's events. Then after a few minutes, everything went black.
