Chapter 2-A Goodbye Forever!

The Next Day:-

Naho's Pov:-

I was making breakfast for my mom and my tiffin for school. I was thinking about what that guy 'Kazu' told me. How could I possibly forget about last night? Should I really tell Ryusei about everything what I feel? I had stopped cutting vegetables and was lost in my thoughts.

"Naho!"

I looked at mom as she entered in the kitchen.

"What is it, Mom?" I asked her.

She was tired since last night. It was hard for her. I should not say this but she had pulled this on her own. Ever since I was a kid, she had been taking drugs. Of course I couldn't understand that time. But then as I started to grow up, I started realizing about her different behavior.

"Something's wrong?" she asked.

"Nothing. Why?" I asked.

"You seem kinda lost. So, I asked. Tell me, what happened?"

Though she is addicted to drugs, truth is that, she is very kind and can understand me.

"I was thinking about Dad." I whispered.

"Oh!" came here reply.

She turned away from me held on to the kitchen counter.

"Mom!"

"From now on, forget that you even had a Dad." And with fuming anger she left.

I was not surprised by her anger. It was just her mood swings. I sighed and continued my cooking.

Later in School:-

I was having my lunch on the terrace sitting alone on the bench. Just then a girl came and sat next to me. I looked at her. She smiled. But I didn't smile back.

It feels strange!

"Takemiya-san, right?" she asked.

She was fair and her hair was left open. She had a stylish pink-colored bag on her shoulder. Her voice was way too sweet, as she was acting to be innocent.

"Yes!"

"I have a request to make!"

"Eh?"

"Can you help me?"

"For what?"

"You're Ryusei-kun's best friend, right?"

No! It's just a tag!

"Yes. Why?" I lied.

"Actually, I...I" she blushed and looked down, "I like Ryusei-kun!"

Her words shocked me. Not because she said that she liked him but no girl came and said to me something like this. Something inside me broke. What does she expect from me? She must be thinking that I should go to him and tell him that this girl likes you. I know he is not ready for relationships. He had told me many times before.

"Your name?" I didn't know what to say so I just asked her name.

She looked at me, "Aoi!"

"Aoi, why you came to me? You can confess to him by yourself. He'll listen to you."

"I know. But the other day when we were talking I asked him that what he thinks about relationships. He said that he isn't ready yet. You must know that! You are his best friend, right?" she glared at me.
