Nino's Pov:-

It's December! The Christmas is coming soon and so is our Aiba's birthday. We're planning a surprise for him including Ai-chan of course. Today Aiba-kun is staying over at Ai-chan's house. Tomorrow I'll tease him a lot. It's been 5 months ever since Naho is back in my life. And I won't let her go now. These feelings are growing stronger day by day. I look at the book written by Naho. I've read it completely now and lot of questions are wandering in my mind. I remembered the day Naho told me that she never had feelings for Kanata. She had lied to me.

-:Flashback Starts:-

"I talked to Ryusei." She said.

We were sitting in my room. She had said that she wanted to meet so I told her to come over.

"What did he say?" I asked.

"Nothing. He just wanted an answer. I told him that I don't have any feelings for you. I..." she hesitated. "That I have feelings for someone else."

"I see." I replied. "Is he okay now? He won't break your friendship, right?"

"Hmm. He said that we will still remain best friends. But he kept asking who is the one I like." She said without looking at me.

"I see, then?"

She looked at me, "Then?"

"Did you tell him that you like Kanata?" I asked her.

She looked down. I felt something's wrong with her as I looked at her.

"Naho, what's wrong?" I asked. "Were you not able to tell him?"

"I did not tell him that." She said.

"Why?"

"Because I did not like Kanata." She replied coldly.

Did that make me happy?

"Eh? Why? You told me that you liked him!" I was surprised.

She did not say anything.

I moved a bit closer to her and kept my hand on her shoulder, "Naho?"

"Why you lied?" I asked.

She still kept mum.

"Naho? Why?" I asked again.

That moment, I regretted. Why did I keep asking? She had tears in her eyes.

"Naho? I'm sorry, please don't cry! I'm really sorry!" I kept apologizing.

I feel so guilty. Why I always make her cry? I'm terrible. I hugged her instantly.

"Kazu, I'm sorry!" she cried in my chest.

"It's not your fault, Naho! I was not able to know you better. I was not able to understand your feelings. I'm sorry!" I slowly caressed her hair.

She calmed down after a minute or so and separated herself from the hug.

"I gotta go." She told me.

"Eh?"

"I need to go home."

She stood up and ran outside. I dragged her coat from the chair and ran after her.

"NAHO!" we were outside the house. It was super cold. She did not stop as I called her. Somehow I managed to stop her. I held her hand and then wrapped the coat around her from behind. She didn't turn to me. I gently hugged her from her back.

"Naho, just tell me what are you hiding?" I softly asked her.

"It's okay if you don't know it Kazu." She refused.
