O.A.'s Point of View:

I forgot the mention the college class that I was giving a speech to... Their professor is actually a buddy of mine. Colleges tend to have connections to us whenever they give lectures and etc. Whenever my buddy needed a substitute teacher, I'll be of help. Gives me a good excuse to see Cassandra again and see how she is doing within the class.

My buddy gave me simple instructions saying I didn't have to do anything. Just let the students go through their books and take notes for the next exam. That's exactly what they did. When it was time for lunch, everyone left except for Cassandra. Her eyes were still fixated on her book and she was writing notes. Probably more than the one chapter my buddy told me for them to study for. I got up from the desk and walked towards her.

When I stopped in front of the desk, I made the usual something in my throat gesture and she didn't even notice. So, I grabbed the ruler one of the other students had on another desk. Used it on her desk to make a loud clap sound and that finally got her attention. Her head quickly shot up and she looked at me surprised.

"You know that the bell rang for lunch, right?" I asked her.

"No, I didn't. I'm not hungry anyway. I have to finish taking notes." she said as she continued to write more.

"That's probably more than enough notes for one chapter." I said still standing in front of her.

"Well, we're going to take more notes anyway. Might as well do it now." she replied.

"You okay? You seem like you're trying to distract yourself." I said being a little concerned.

"I'm fine." she said and continued to write.

"Get your stuff your coming to sit up front with me." I said and walked back to the desk and hear her footsteps follow behind me.
She sat in front of me and I looked at her as she did the same.

"So, tell me your story." I said to her with my hands intertwined.

"My story?" she asked.

"Yes, you seem to have a story. All I know is that your name is Cassandra and your attending this class to have a career in law enforcement. There must be something else to it." I explained.

"It's better to keep personal out of profession." she says.

"Well, when the time comes... A friend will become like a sibling, everyone else starts to become a family, you're there for each other no matter what. I have a partner that's like another sister to me." I tell her.

She was looking at me and then looks down, takes a breath in a slowly breathes out, she looks like she wants to cry but doesn't.
She looks back up at me, "My family used to call me Cassie. I was 13, my parents were murdered in front of me and I was taken and then I was found. My only other family I had left was my grandma who I lived with since then. She passed away last night, after I came home from being out that night. Here I am, attending class and trying not to think about it until this day ends." she said as the tears form in her eyes and one tear slips out and rolls down her cheek.
She quickly wipes it away.

She had been through so much then and now it's her for her now again. Her grandma was the only family she had left and now she is all alone.

"I'm sorry. I'm sorry for your loss." I said to her.

"It's okay. I'll be fine. Her passing at old age is better than being killed for wrong timing." she said.

"If you ever need anything, just let me know." I told her and brought out my card and slid it over to her.

"Thanks. You seem nice and yet I wouldn't think someone like you would talk to someone like me." she said as she put my card away in her bag.

"Well, when it comes to this place we can cherry pick some of you students to become interns, give them a shot at what it's like on the force. I was cherry picked up didn't get that chance until I was pulled out from uncover work." I told her.

"Wow, you must have seen a lot of stuff. Agent Zidan, a really experienced FBI Agent." she said smiling at me.

"You can just call me O.A. since everyone else at my job does." I said.

"Okay, O.A., thanks for the talk and heads up for the future." she said smiling.

"I can put in a good for you at the FBI, for when you graduate." I told her.

Then the bell rang again.

"Yeah, that would be great. Thanks O.A." she said as she picked up her stuff to leave.
"See you around" she added as she was about to walk out of the room.

"No Problem, Cassie." I said and she stopped. Turned around and smiled at me before she started walking again and was out of sight.

I couldn't help but keep smiling, knowing her for a short while while here. I know for sure that I will see her again.
