Cassie's Point of View:
I have been an intern and the FBI for about a couple of months now and I've been good at my job so far. I just really want to tell the boss lady to consider sending me out into the field with O.A. and Maggie. O.A. kept telling me no that it was to quick, well that's him and this is me, I'm talking about. I don't get why he said that like he was the one who encouraged me to come here and now I'm here and he starts acting like I need protection. I don't need it I can defend myself. But, he does have a point it does take time for some people to go out there, I'll continue to do my job until boss lady says otherwise.
O.A.'s Point of View:
Me and Maggie were called to a crime scene in the woods. We were told the husband, wife, and daughter were having a disagreement until they heard a noise coming from outside. Husband went to investigate, a teenage girl who was hysterically crying launched into his arms covered in dirt and blood. 911 was called and the police came across the scene where the girl came from, a buried that was empty, she was buried alive. Not just that they also discovered more buried graves around in the same spot area."The suspect knows the wooded area really well. He seems comfortable, since he buried a girl alive" Maggie said.
"He probably didn't even know she was still alive. He just assumed she was dead and buried her until, she decided to fight for her life and dug her way out" I added to her conclusion.
As we were about to leave a familiar face showed up and one that I was surprised to see.
"Hey O.A., Maggie!" I saw Cassie coming to approach us.
"Hey Cassie, what are you doing out here?" Maggie asked.
"Boss lady told me to come out and help out. I was surprised by that knowing I'm finally going to see the action taken place" she said.
"Well, that's great!" Maggie said to her as I'm still taken back on seeing her in front of us.
"So, catch me up on what is happening right now" she asked Maggie as we were walking and on our way to the coroner's office.
I'm not liking this feeling at all. I don't like Cassie being out here on the field with us. I'm trying to protect her and all of a sudden boss lady finally decides to send her out without even telling us ahead of time. I just don't want her to get hurt. I hope nothing bad happens as we try to solve this case.
At the coroner, we learned that all of the victims were sex workers and were stabbed. They were all have branded with a crown that the killer tried to remove. While listening, I kept my eye on Cassie knowing this is her first out on the field with me and Maggie, I wouldn't know how she would react to seeing a dead body. But, she seems to be handling it pretty well.
"These victims being branded with the same brand and the killer trying to remove them shows that he was trying to throw us off track to avoid there being a connection. It being the same brand shows that all the victims all knew each other and were working together for the same sex trafficker" Cassie said as she was done examining and looked at me and Maggie.
"That's right, good eye and knowledge you have Cass" Maggie told her.
"Thanks. I wouldn't be here if I didn't know that" she said as we were leaving the coroner.
Cassie's Point of View:As we left the coroner, I was sitting in the backseat behind O.A. as we were on our way to the hospital to meet the surviving victim. As we got there, Maggie was walking ahead of me and O.A., O.A. was letting me know since this is my first time being out with them, to just observe that way for next time I know what to do. As much as I didn't like him telling me what was right and wrong, I decided to let this be and observation.
We finally arrived at the victim's hospital room, She tells us that she saw an online ad for work and she and her sister applied. They were picked up by 3 men and brought blindfolded to a basement, threatened to kill their families. She was really concerned for her sister as she has not seen her since. After interviewing the victim, we head back to FBI headquarters and learn more info discovered from Kristen. Who has discovered the identities of the deceased victims. Along with Property ownership and a doctor who came and check up on the girls from time to time. As we were about to enter the building where the doctor worked, someone falls on top of the car next to us from the floor above. It's the doctor we were looking for.
O.A.'s Point of View:
As we head into the heading to search for our suspect, me and Maggie separate. I bring Cassie along with me as I needed her to stay close to me and personally and out danger. We soon hear a struggle, we come across our suspect attacking Maggie. He soon makes a run for it as I was about to shoot him. Cassie goes to Maggie's side to help her up. I noticed that our suspect had left a bloody hand print on the wall after attacking Maggie. As Maggie is getting taken care of in the ambulance, I get a call and put it on speaker phone for me, Maggie, and Cassie to listen to. Jubal tells us, our suspect nicknamed Snake and his cousin owns the online employment agency that all the girls applied for. We all head back to headquarters and come up with the plan and location to set a trap. Jubal will play the the dealer. We wait and stakeout a hotel when a car pulls up with 3 girls. They enter the room and me and Maggie got out of the car while Cassie stayed in the vehicle. We slowly approach the vehicle as Snake is still in it. He has nowhere else to go and we have him in custody.
Cassie's Point of View:
So much for a first time experience, I was sitting outside my apartment building, on the steps with my face in my hands. Today was a lot and I didn't think I could handle it. I put on a brave face for the first time as I was brought into a world where danger can be anywhere and I had to defend myself in whatever situation took place. I was brought out of my thoughts when I heard someone's voice and I looked up to see it was O.A.
"Hey! What are you doing out here? " he said as he sat down next to me.
"I needed some fresh air, I would've sat next to my window but thought being outside was better. What are you doing here?" I said and then asked him.
"I thought I would check on you" he said.
I smiled a little moving a strand of hair behind my ear, " Where's Maggie?" I asked him.
"She went to the hospital to check on the victim and her sister" I said.
I was thinking back on all the events that took place in just one day. I can see why O.A. was being so protective of me. I saw dead bodies, Maggie got attacked and I probably would've been too if I was with her or in that same position, and I saw a sick man who got off of torture and killing innocent girls. In the end, that man was done and was going to live long in prison for what he did. We found the other girls and where they were located and got them out alive and to safety.
A lot more will come my way and this is what I signed up for and this will be the life I live. I'm not alone in this, O.A. has my back and so does Maggie and everyone else in the FBI. Next time, I will be better and not just watch like O.A. said I should for this one time. I will prove to him and everyone else that I can do this job and not be afraid like I used to be when I lost my parents. I will protect myself, and the ones I care about, and others who don't deserve to be harmed.
