People Change

Cassie's Point of View:

It's only been a few days since I came back to O.A.'s place, he still sleeps on the couch as I sleep in his bed. As much as I do miss him sleeping next to me, I don't want to just let him back in that quickly. If I do, then I'll be the one sleeping on the couch instead. I'll be okay maybe by the end of this week.

 Me, O.A. and Maggie go to visit a Marshall in the hospital after visiting the scene of the crime in a neighborhood where a protected witness by the name of Damion Cruz in the witness protection program was shot. After getting some info from the protected Marshall, we head back to headquarters, a clue was found at the scene, a receipt from a Mexican restaurant. We were on the move to another place of interest and possibly another stakeout.


Maggie's Point of View:

As me, O.A. and Cassie pulled up on the opposite side of the street not far from the outside of the restaurant. I was surprised when I saw  O.A. as he unzipped his jacket, "What's going on here?" I said and looked at Cassie as she looked at O.A. as he was wearing a male tank top.

He looked at us like what?

"Seriously, O.A.?" Cassie said after seeing his appearance.

"Relax this is what I picked out" he said to us.

"Your going to a Mexican restaurant not a rave" I said and it made Cassie laughed a bit.

"Despite your verbal attack, I feel great" O.A. said as he got out of the vehicle and closed the door and was making his way to the restaurant.

Me and Cassie laughed as we watched him go. But, I didn't look long as I turned my attention to her.
"You know, even though you still are trying to get pass this, I know you still love him" I tell her.

"Yeah, I know. Honestly, I thought if anyone was going to go in. I thought it would be me" she said.

"Yeah, I thought so too. Cause no one would expect a beautiful lady delivering an order" I smiled.

"Yeah and my outfit is better than his" She said.

"Outfit?" I questioned.

"Yeah, while he was changing, I got ahead start" she said as she unzipped her outfit to reveal a sexy white crop top and high waist jeans and black boots.

I looked at her surprised she has definitely outdone herself, any guy would be staring at her nonstop and drooling. O.A.'s mouth would drop and he would be so jealous to see her out in public like that and other guys checking her out.
"You should probably go out and make sure everything is okay" I said.
With that, she took off her jacket and she smiled and winked at me before exiting the car.

O.A.'s Point of View:

I entered the restaurant, posed as a civilian, when the waitress on her phone noticed me.
"Bienvenido Guapo(Welcome Handsome)" she says.

"Como estas Hermosa?(How are you, beautiful?) can you make this same order and deliver it to the same address. If I don't get it right my boss will kill me" I say to her.

She smiles and leaves my sight and I hear the entrance door ring as someone enters and hear some of the construction worker guys behind me whistle. I look behind to see Cassie, my eyes went wide, my mouth could've dropped at the moment but, I kept it shut and just looked at her. She was wearing a sexy white crop top, high waist jeans that cover her abdomen but I still see some skin, and some cute black boots. She walks pass me and winks, she's beautiful in and out of work. She's torturing me in this moment.

"Bienvenida Hermosa(Welcome Beautiful)" the waitress says to her as she comes back and I step aside to take a seat at the table.

"Y tu tambien, Hermosa(And you as well, beautiful)" Cassie says to her as she leans over on the counter. Making her bottom look big by sticking it out. I swear if that bottom can hypnotize any man's eyes they just did mine.

"What can I get for you?" the waitress asks.

"Can I get one horchata and 2 beef tacos to go" Cassie says.

"Sure, one moment" she waitress tells her and quickly get her order done in no time.

"Here you go" The waitress give Cassie her order and Cassie gives her the cash and tells her to keep the rest before exiting.
I stay seated for a minute before eventually getting up and walking out and back to the vehicle.

I open the car door and see Maggie and Cassie eating their beef tacos. 

"Really?" I asked them but mostly looking at Cassie.

"I out did you, Guapo" she laughed a little before taking a sip of her horchata.
Maggie laughed and took a sip of the horchata after Cassie is done taking a sip.


We follow the delivery guy who leads us to our main suspect, Ernesto. We get out of the vehicle, Ernesto and his friends all flee. We separate trying to keep our main guy from escaping. Maggie was not far behind from him, as he turns around to shoot her, I jump him.
We bring him in and ask him who ordered the hit, he talks after Maggie threatens him. He gives up a name of a guy named Vincent Marino.

We head to Marino's hideout with a squat team and find him dead. We find his phone and check his records and see that he had been calling a woman named Amber. We head to a restaurant where she works and she tells us that she was his sponsor. We were then called to another crime scene. At the scene, another protected witness is found dead. Maggie starts to think that the witness protection program has been compromised, thinking the  Marshall is responsible. We head to visit him at his house. He swears he would never put his protected witnesses in any danger or discuss their cases with anyone. I start to think myself that someone maybe watching him. I go outside to investigate his vehicle and find a GPS tracker on in.

Cassie's Point of View:

After finding a GPS tracker on the Marshall's car, we went to talk to a man in prison for life connected to the previous deceased victim. He was willing to talk for a better cell and gives us details about a sexy red hair lady someone on the outside, and we only know one woman with that type of hair and that is  Amber. We go to talk to her and she admits to us that it was Deputy Ackerman who has been selling the names from the witness protection program list .

Before we can even get to him, Ackerman is on the run and Amber wasn't talking since she owed Ackerman her life and she was in love with him despite him being married. She admitted she is in Witness Protection after testifying against her father. When Marino found out about her and Ackerman, Ackerman was forced to give up a name from the list.  Ackerman calls and wants Amber released or he will sell another name. We go  back to Amber and let her know we would let her go if she helps us catch him and she agrees after seeing the hurtful images of the victims that were killed because of her lover.

She and Ackerman were to meet in the woods and would escape on foot from there. Amber would be wearing a hoodie and glasses and would receive a text from him. But, what he didn't know is that when he grabbed her hand, it wasn't Amber, it was Maggie and she cuffs him on the spot and the team comes out and surrounds him.



O.A.'s Point of View:

Me and Cassie finally arrived at our place. We were completely silent on the way back. I couldn't help but, wonder what Cassie was thinking of. After hearing Ackerman say he was meant to serve and protect he meant of those who are innocent and not criminals that they didn't deserve a second chance once they made their first decision. But, everyone makes mistakes and want  to better themselves again.
We entered my apartment and both went into my room and both got changed out of our clothes on opposite sides of the room. I looked over at her and she just stood there, back facing me, she already took off her shirt and was only standing in her bra and jeans and boots still on, with her arms by her side. I already had my shirt off and just walked up behind her and wrapped my arms around her. I placed my chin on her shoulder as I held her.
"You okay?" I asked her.

"Yeah, I'm fine. I just can't help but think back at what Ackerman said. That was so heartless of him. Everyone always deserves another chance when they want to change for the better. I can't help but think, what if you didn't kill my killer and he was still alive and I was put into protection and that could've been me" she said.

I turn her around to face me, "Hey, look at me.  Don't compare yourself to what happen. What he did was sick and no one deserves for what happened. I'm sorry, Cassie. I'm sorry that that happened to you. And I'm sorry that I should've told you the truth, I just didn't know if you would handle it or see me differently. But, I still love and care for you no matter what, I always want to protect you and never let you out of my sight" I tell her as I place my hands on the face and kiss her forehead.
I pull her into a hug and she finally hugs me back.

"You were kinda teasing me, dressing up and walking into the Mexican restaurant like that" I said into her ear.
She giggled in my arms and looked up at me, "I was showing you how it's really done" she said while smiling.
I leaned over and kissed and she kissed me back. I'm happy to say that she has forgiven me and we are back on track.
