For my whole life,
I ran after her
On the hands of a Grandfather clock.
Only to watch you sweep her off her feet in seconds. For my whole life,
I have dreamt of this day.
Yet I am only a mere
guest,
I'm shaking your hand.
I'm smiling,
So why am I sinking,
when my heart is in her hands?when she tossed it
like a cheap bouquet. For my whole life,
I have never pictured you in my place,
But if you one day wake up,
Wishing you were back at this day,
Wishing you said "I don't" instead. Please do not hit her,
With fists or with words.
Do not hurt her,
Or break her princess heart. If you one day stop loving her,
Just call me up,
And I'll be
There.
I'll always be there —
To fetch her back home.
