One More Light

Behaved in such places where we have taught

The surface is nothing more than a lot

To ponder over, when covers are judged

Simply pushing the door with a small nudge

Can make a difference with each passing

Person walking by, and simply glancing

At the beauty we are, the human race

Every step taken closer to trace

Your footprints and keep track of your presence

These hours we live are dusked to crescents

Then dawned one more light in this collective

Of memories and new beginnings lived

Celebrate this treasure and keep it dear

To your heart even when witnessing fear

Consume you... Never hold back the light gave

Unto many that are so, very brave

Your decent time will enter, because you

Exist in this timely manner of truth,

Ideals, and sun we think is hidden

Because these rewards are not just given.

As much effort as you dream of the day

You find that route where you can work and play,

But feel happy and prosperous. The down

Times will exist, no matter what. The frowns

You display are valid and real, reader,

Because I have felt them too. One meter

Away is your will to move forward here,

Because you have conquered enough of cheers

And cries to get to this point. Rise above,

Your heart is worth the amount of time loved

By everyone you know. The hate lurks,

But even darkness has its glowing perks

Within flaws displayed in a very found

Time we have a lot to learn. Life astounds

And it haunts, but you have found that light here

Because you are true, you deserve this sphere

To live and help others become more great

When your time is finished, you have made

A grand opportunity to be good

In this land we share, so stand, when you stood

Again and again, never backing down

From the times you have seen all these drowned

Lakes entering your atmosphere and mass

This life is worth loving, dark times will pass...
