Planet Romula.

Humans from Earth visited that planet about a century ago and named it after one of the most important cities in the far past. Before Christ. Anno Domini.

Now...

A pod that had unique Romulan marks on it had left the planet. It was going fast, but not as fast as the it should be going. It was searching for more planets. It didn’t care as long as it found a planet that had life on it. It kept flying and flying for about three days and then…

Earth.

Right when the pod entered Earth’s atmosphere the century-old Earth rockets dislodged from the pod. A few boxes dislodged from the pod right after hitting Earth's atmosphere. Rather than resisting, the pod let the gravity take over. Take control. After that, FWOOP! The pod released a parachute. Technology that was reinvented by Romulans that Earthlings forgot about centuries ago. The pod slowly glided into Constantinople. It slowly glided into…

The backyard of Shaggy.

The fall made a sound. But only the sound of a parachute rubbing on the ground.

The next day…

Shaggy, Nora, Daepi, and 🅱 were back to their usual routine. Yesterday they have allocated a home for the couple next door to 🅱. Now, back to our oddity investigation!

They all wanted to go to a distant place to get their daily dose of weird. But right before Shaggy floored the quadbike, Daepi called out something very peculiar yet, very normal.

“Stop the bike! No need to go so far!”

“Why?” they asked.

“There is another one of those alien pods in the yard. It doesn’t look Axian though.” Daepi added.

“Hold up… this is interesting.” Shaggy said as he got out of the quadbike to investigate.

🅱 sighed. “Another alien pod?” he added.

“I get the feeling that Shaggy’s lawn is some alien magnet… Maybe some nanotech in the fossil caused it. Or maybe it was one of our earlier artifacts. Whatever it is, something is attracting all these aliens. Something we have.” Nora implied.

Shaggy looked it up on his minicomputer. He noticed that some other areas had aliens crashing at a similar rate. However only a few of these areas actually had an alien magnet.

“I don’t think it’s something we have.” Shaggy finally concluded.

Daepi kept observing the pod, checking for any doors. “No doors anywhere, this probably uses the old fashioned hatch for escape.” she admitted.

SSSSSSSSST.

The hatch opened up. Then the hatch slid to the side. A mixbreed alien started to get out of the pod. It slowly climbed out by sticking its head up, then raising its arms and pushing itself out of the pod. The alien’s legs were used next, one leg came out and then another. After it fully climbed out another one started to get out too, using the same method.

When both mixbreeds were done getting out, everyone noticed something that they both had in common. They were both mixed between human and another species.  But what species?

“Who are you?” Shaggy asked.

“I am Lyrelle, and this is my sibling Kuro. We are from Romula even though we are both half human.”

They all introduced themselves respectively: “My name is Austin, but you can call me Shaggy.” “I’m Nora Bouveron.” “I’m Daepi.” “I’m 🅱️ or U+1F171. B for short.”.

“Nice to meet you all, fellow humans.” Lyrelle said.

“It is quite strange for Romulans to come to Earth unless they want tech trades, and you two seem unequipped. Why are you here?” Nora asked. She knew what they were but not what they looked like.

“We’re here to tell you something very important.” Kuro answered.
