The next day, Kyo set up a huge ceremony. It took place on the yard behind all of the homespaces. Not many people were there but there were lots of cameras and technology used to broadcast the ceremony universewide. There was a plastic stage that could compact by folding it on the hinges neatly scattered throughout the stage. A hinge was also lined right below the platform of the stage. There was a microphone on a stand placed in the front end of the stage. Speakers were next to the stage on both sides. In front of these speakers were stairs. Kyo was sitting on the edge of the stage, twitching calmly, waiting for the time to come.
Recent news has stated that Romula was now a part of the Axian alliance, which made everyone, especially Kuro and Lyrelle happy. The whole group was excited for the ceremony, to congratulate the four Human survivors of the Romulan suicide mission.
Nora was volunteering to manage the camera. Daepi, Shaggy and 🅱 sat up front, as well as everyone else. There were not much seats, which made the ceremony look less empty. The front most seat was taken by Shaggy. To his left was Daepi and 🅱. To his right was Blake and Lon. Behind him was Kuro, Lyrelle, and the four survivors.
Kyo held a microphone in his hand. He was ready to present. He shouted "Ready!" for verification. Nora clicked a button on the camera and it displayed a red flickering light on the top right corner of the screen, which signaled that it was recording.
The livestream began. Worldwide, everyone who cared about the survivors got a notification straight to their computers and minicomputers. Kyo was ready. He lifted his feet onto the stage and stood up. He angled his microphone towards his mouth and started speaking.
"Hello, this is Kyo Xione. In case you didn't know, I am the Axian alliance Tablite leader. I have come to Earth to make a special announcement. Have you heard the news about the Romulan Apsirum mission that apparently had survivors? Have you heard the rumors about the humans that saved them? Well, we found them. The rumored 'survivors' are now here!" Kyo announced.Next to the camera, there was a small black box that was plugged into the camera via a wire. On the screen of this small black box was a number. The number was: 1,534,234,342. Nora glanced at the number. That must be how many viewers there are. That's a lot, Nora thought. That's probably everyone who knows the news on Earth and Axis, and more. It may have been a lot, but the number kept on increasing.
"Two of them, are the same members of the famous band who reported going to Axis a few months ago," Kuro stated, reading from his script. "Their names were Brendon Kogan and Clancy Reel. Come on up."
Brendon and Clancy got out of their seats in the small crowd. They walked towards the edge of the stage and climbed the stairs. As they climbed up, they both felt confidence. They felt a confidence that is larger than the one they felt on their past world tour. Each of them felt a different kind of confidence, but it was still a confidence. It was empowering enough to lead a galaxy. To lead the universe.
The soles of their feet have landed on the stage. They smiled as if they were looking at the world. But in reality, they weren't. All they were looking at was a camera and a few people. But the camera allowed the universe to be the real audience. And they knew it.
"What would you like to say about this, Brendon?" Kyo asked, as he handed the mic over to Brendon. He held it in his marked hand.
"Thank you all for watching. I don't know how I saved a civilization, but I did. I'm so glad that one species has been saved from extinction. I'm so glad we were, too." Brendon answered.
"How about you, Clancy?" Kyo asked. Brendon passed the mic to Clancy. He picked it up with his marked hand.
"I thank you all as well. I found it an enjoyment to help so many Romulans. I found it an enjoyment to attack Apsirums in order to save lives. Especially for the great cause. Amazing!" Clancy announced.
"Thank you for your responses. Now please give a round of applause for these people!" Kyo yelled as he hovered the mic right over the audience.
The small crowd clapped. It wasn't much, but it sure was powerful. It was enough for everyone to hear universe wide, even though the sound that echoed wasn't really much.
"The third person I would like to thank would be Frank Nagimade. PLEASE COME ON UP!" Kyo flicked the mic back to him and yelled. Brendon and Clancy stepped back to make room for Frank.
Frank walked up the stairs to the stage, feeling somewhat nervous at first. But step by step, he felt more and more confident that he was walking up that step for good. It was because he did something great. His motives for this good deed weren't as good as the deed itself, hence he was more neutral.
"Frank, what would you like to say about this?" Kyo asked.
"I just did what I wanted, really. I was the first to get help from Romulans. So it wasn't just me, it was the Romulans too." Frank stated.
"Hmm... Thanks for your response! Now can we give our applause to FRANK!" Kyo yelled.
The audience clapped. They clapped about as loud as before. This clap, spread planet to planet, by millions of small gatherings, in millions of different places.
"The last person I would like to thank is Tenya Dirk. STEP RIGHT UP ON THE STAGE!!!" Kyo shouted.
Tenya felt it. He felt that he was winning. A true victory, a true hero. He took a step onto the stage. He felt pride rushing through his veins. Especially since he did something that would've killed him, but he didn't die. He was taking steps since he was alive. These steps of victory were showing that he's not dead. After that he got up on the stage and with one breath━
"What would you like to say about your accomplishments?" Kyo asked.
Okay, this is epic.
"I'm so glad I made it here. I'm so glad I got to take a step on the face of the Earth. It is, in fact, a miracle to be alive. But, there was more to it than luck. The minute I heard the Apsirum announcement, I grabbed some books and tried to find a better solution, based on what the announcer said. I got to the point where it wasn't hard to figure out. Where they were more predictable. Frank knew I had the knowledge but I wasn't ready, so I told him and he did. After that, I nearly died. That's when everything changed. I felt alive again after a sudden burst. We resonated. We used the knowledge to take action. That's how we won. Thanks for watching." Tenya stated.
The crowd cheered. "THANK YOU SO MUCH TENYA! NOW CAN WE GET A ROUND OF APPLAUSE FOR THESE SURVIVORS!!!" Kyo shouted.
There was an applause. A small thunder. Empowering, fired up. It set all of the views galaxywide to hype. Daepi made the loudest claps, but she still managed to blend in.
Kyo made a signal to end the video. Nora pressed a button on the camera to stop the video. The red light stopped flickering. The livestream was complete.
They originally knew Kyo as a serious leader. They have never known him to be such a hypeman. Such a hypeman to show the world four true heroes of society.
And so it continued. Kyo stayed for a few more days, and then he left. Brendon and Clancy also left to their home, in the distance. Frank left, too.
All the aliens in Axis were congratulating the four. They were clapping in small clusters.
The universe was stable. Everything was at peace. In a pocket dimension, whose opening replaced Romula and Apsira, there were Apsirums. Some were fighting each other, while the hundred foot ones that developed actually started to live in a more civilized manner. That's not to say they're going to reinvent the wheel. It's still coming. In the far future...
