Abuja, Nigeria.
"Miss Clinton is here to see you, sir." Came Clara, Isaac Luke's secretary's voice.
Isaac groaned. Stephanie Clinton was the last person he wanted to see. He could just tell the secretary to send her away once and for all, but his conscience would never allow him to do that. Stephanie was a human with feelings, regardless of her bad reputation.
"Sir?" Clara's voice interrupted his thoughts.
"Let her in."
"Okay, sir."
Placing the telephone handset on its cradle, Isaac silently prayed for this meeting to go well. Minutes later, the door opened to reveal an immodestly dressed Stephanie with a smug smile on her face.
"Hello dear." She said in her usual seductive tone, as she walked to his table.
God, what is this? "Hi." He forced a smile. He stretched his hand for a handshake, but she ignored it.
"Why are you acting so formal?" She asked as she went around the table and hugged him, pressing her body to his.
Isaac closed his eyes. God, help me.
She pouted as she released him. She must have noticed he didn't return the hug.
"I've missed you, Isaac." She said.
Isaac knew the response she was expecting, but he couldn't bring himself to tell her he missed her too because he'd be lying.
"How're you doing?" He asked instead.
"Miserable without you." She said in her seductive voice and began playing with his tie.
This wasn't right. She was crossing boundaries. Isaac gently removed her hand from his tie.
"Have a seat, Stephanie." He gestured towards two chairs on the opposite side of the table. This wasn't his usual calm voice; it was a voice that told her he wasn't going to take any more of her abhorrent behavior.
Pouting, Stephanie sat down.
Isaac was thankful for the table which covered her bare legs. The only problem was the huge portion of her breasts which her blouse revealed. He'd try his best to fix his gaze on her face.
"Care for a drink? "
"Nah. I'm fine."
"So, what brings you here, Steph? "
"I heard of Chloe's resignation."
"Yeah. Her family is relocating."
Chloe was a top model at Jay's wears, the clothing company Isaac headed. Isaac had taken over the responsibility of handling the business from his late father, Jacob Luke, who was the founder of the company.
"I'm also thinking of leaving Culture Fashion Hub," Stephanie said.
"Really? Why is that?"
"I want to take Chloe's position."
Isaac laughed. "That's ridiculous."
"I'm serious about it."
The grim look on her face told him that she wasn't joking. Isaac couldn't imagine working in the same company as Stephanie Clinton.
"Why do you want to leave CFH?"
"I don't want to work there anymore."
"And why is that?"
"Does that matter? I want to work for you."
"That's crazy, Stephanie. CFH pays you far higher than what we pay our models. Do you know how many models will die to be in your position?"
