"Kim Seokjin", Namjoon drawled nodding to himself.
The three of them were seated around a large oval table fit for at the most 30 people. Some guards lingered near the corners and exits to the conference room.
"We have the same surname!", Namjoon exclaimed, "That practically makes us related don't you think?"
Seraphina scoffed. He glanced at her with a small smile.
"Any drinks?"
The other two sat silently, watching the young man with the white suite have drinks brought over anyways. None of them which anyone seemed interested in except Namjoon.
The wine glass lay delicately in his nimble fingers as he took a sip of the red liquid. He set the glass down, gesturing to them, "Drink".
"I don't drink", Seraphina stated bluntly, her eyes narrowed.
Namjoon chuckled, then turned to Jin.
Jin felt uncomfortable. Not only by the man's simpering gaze, but also the strange aura emitted by not one, but two of the people present in this room.
He shook his head with a meek smile. "I...uh, have a fever. No thank you".
Namjoon lifted the glass, "Red wine is especially good for health if drunken in a limit. You seem to be well aware of your limits Mr. Kim", the man paused, slightly smiling to himself at the familiarness of the name.
"Go ahead", he continued, "Have a drink".
Jin's eyed flitted around. He saw Seraphina's watchful gaze, but nothing of her expression gave him a clue as to what to do. She was awaiting the outcome as if silently challenging him on what he would do.
Jin stared at the smooth red liquid in the heavenly glass set in front of him. He pursed his lips.
He didn't drink too often.
He had learned the hard way that drinking would just make it all the worse for him. The visions would become more vivid, and the temperature of his body would swing through dangerous levels.
Kim Namjoon raised a brow.
Jin attempted a smile, hoping that no one noticed his trembling fingers as the edge of the glass met his lips.
The liquid just touched the tip of his tongue, but it was enough to make him internally hiss in pain.
He put the glass back down, but it wasn't enough for Namjoon. "That was barely anything! I assure you that I serve my guests the finest wine I have. Try more", he urged.
Jin glanced to Seraphina as he slowly lifted the glass again. She frowned with a deep scowl etched across her face.
He closed his eyes and took a big gulp, hiding back the grimace that wanted to break out.
"Ok, that's enough", Seraphina snapped.
Jin gratefully put the glass down, a sudden turmoil erupting in his stomach.
She glared at Namjoon, "What do you want?"
He grinned, pushing his hands down on the table and standing up to pace the room. His fingers thoughtfully danced on his chin. He turned his back to them and faced the glass panels overlooking the flashing night-city of Seoul.
He was silent, and it irked Jin to see the man's calm reflection on the glass.
Jin cleared his throat, the alcohol leaving behind a strange sensation in his throat. He was pretty sure that wine wasn't supposed to have this effect, even for someone like Jin. He had only taken a gulp of it, what was happening?
