Perhaps when the skies opened up their curtain of clouds and released their tears, it was a way of yelling at the world. That’s what Jin would feel as he grew up in the care of his father.

One would assume that the aura’s around him would become a little thinner from the drops piercing from above, but instead, the rain made Jin’s fate more vivid for him.

It was like looking through an enhanced magnifying glass, and suddenly, everything a lot clearer.

His eyelashes blinked away the heavy water droplets, and he tugged the hood of the Jacket tighter around him.

Seraphina slowed down in her tracks to turn around and make sure he was keeping up. “Hurry up”, she whispered, her eyes distant and voice hazy.

She turned back around, not waiting for an answer and letting the tears of heaven sting at her body.

Jin could very clearly make out her wings. The raindrops framed her aura but had a strange way of flicking off of her as if she were buzzing with electricity.

Even though all Jin had witnessed as a kid, even for him it was surreal to believe that an Angel walked before him, and perhaps, that he was one of them.

Seraphina’s words resonated in his memory.

“It’s not the kind of Angel you’re thinking of. We’re born from the thoughts and morals of humans. When the world is in chaos, so are we…”

It made sense in a way for love, hate, chaos, madness, whatever unfolded within oneself to have a form. But destruction.

“God”, Seraphina had muttered. “Namjoon isn’t some overlord who rules the world. He was a whole angel, which is what made him called a god. But now, even he is cursed. He isn’t complete anymore, which is why he seeks something to feed off of”.

She had left it at that, and Jin feared to ask anymore.

“What is it”, he wondered to himself. “What is it that Namjoon seeks”.

“I’m not quite sure”, Seraphina spoke aloud, surprising Jin as her voice found a way to slip through the drizzle and into his ears.

She waited until he was walking beside her. “All I know is he seeks some form of destruction”.

Jin sucked in his breath.

“It’s not a bad thing”, she said, frowning to herself. She shook her head, “I mean, a little chaos is needed to maintain order. You know?” She broke into a slew of gibberish Jin couldn’t comprehend. It was her way of finding a point to reason with herself.

Jin felt like he was walking on a thin line strung over the skies, and one wrong move would make him go plummeting down. He had to be careful to choose his words, or else, Seraphina would break out as she had before.

Right now, as pathetic as the situation was, she seemed to be the only person who reminded Jin that he wasn’t the only one going completely insane.

After all, he was a psychology major, perhaps some of his assumptions could be well defined.

For the first time, the thought crossed his mind, what if he really had gone mad. “Bonkers”, as some put it.

He observed the conflicted emotions crossing Seraphina’s features, suddenly wondering if it was healthy for him to be in the company of one who had no better of a mental state than he.

“Jin?”.

Jin looked up, realizing he had stopped in the middle of the road. He felt the suffocation in his throat and released the breath he had been holding in the entire time.
