It was a great night for a walk. It wasn't too cold or too stuffy and the moon was a brilliant crescent. They had pulled up to the parking lot and made their way along the trail until they came to the same point where Raiden and Iona had first walked dogs together when he volunteered. Sitting on a log, facing the lake, Raiden was about to inch his hand closer to hers when she stood up.

"Could you wait here for a bit? I need to take care of something.", she said as she began making her way deeper into the words.

"Wait. Where are you going? It's dark and dangerous. If you need a toilet we could-"

"Raiden. Relax, I am definitely not the kind of person who takes a piss in the woods just because there's no one around and it's late.", she reassured him as he stood as well. "Seriously, it's not a big deal, just sit still and take in the scenery. I'll be back in ten minutes.".

"Ten minutes?! No way, I'm coming along...whatever it is. It's too dark for you to go alone.", his tone becoming more authoritative.

She wasn't about to be ordered around by him. She could probably protect both of them if it came down to anything serious. Plus, he might like what she had in mind for him - if only he stopped caring so much for the moment.

"Raiden. Please, I know these trails like the back of my hand. Ten minutes, alright? I have my phone with me. Don't worry.".

He gave up as he sat back down and nodded. "Whatever it is, ten minutes. I'll put it on a timer on my phone. A minute more and I'm coming for you. Okay?".

She nodded, smiled and trotted off into the dark. The countdown began.

What could a girl possibly do by herself for ten minutes in the woods at night?!

Iona was about to take a small risk but it was worth it. There was absolutely no one around at this time of night and she wouldn't take long. Time to find out if Raiden really loves animals or he's just using it as an excuse to get close to her. Smiling to herself, Iona began to peel away her clothes and stack them by a nearby tree.

She crouched down on all fours, closed her eyes and began to focus. Warmth radiated from her core and soaked her entire body as she opened her mind to the transformation. Her skin started to itch as a cream-coloured coat of soft fur blanketed her entire frame, her hands and legs shortening into rounded haunches. Her body began to absorb her shoulders as she collapsed in on herself, her body now resembling silly putty as a pair of giant invisible hands reshaped her. Her neck melted as her tiny build became stockier, her body now resembling a rodent with short, thick-set body and short, strong legs. She could feel a small ball of fur sprout and take shape on her lower back.

Her face began to morph as it went soft, its profile becoming strongly curved. Iona's features distorted as her lips and nose swelled into a round muzzle, whiskers creeping out at the same time. Her vision blurred for a few moments as her eyes became little black orbs. Finally, her ears poured out and began to take the shape of tear drops as they hung beside her head.

Giving herself a few experimental hops to get used to her new shape, Iona bounded back to Raiden.

'...cause all of meee..loves all of you...love your curves and all your edges...".

Iona could hear him sing as she gingerly made her way towards him. He wasn't that bad, actually.

"...give your all to meee...I'll give my all-Hey!". An adorable rabbit emerged from the bushes nearby and was now looking straight at him as it hopped nearer and nearer, stopping just shy of his feet.

Raiden slowly stood, not wanting to scare the creature away as he squatted and held his hand out. "Here boy...come here..", he cooed. Surprisingly, the rabbit sniffed his hand and actually hopped closer, allowing him to stroke its head and body. "Aren't you the cutest thing ever. Iona is totally missing out.".
