The anger and hate it unusually rising in me. I've never hurt a person in my life, let alone felt happy about killing them. It's an odd feeling but it's a good one, it pushes pleasure throughout my entire body. I run to the closet and grab myself some large sweatpants, unintentionally spending a lot more time on them than I'd wish because of their size. I guess I'm not going to find any shoes in my size, so I grab the closest thing, socks. I break through the door at a sprint, trying to follow the path that I remembered Taeyong taking me in on. I almost ran into groups of fighters twice, but I narrowly avoided it. I pause before a very long hallway, there's no doors and nowhere to hide but I need to go down it. A thought appears in my head and I take it. Forcing the fog out of my limbs I push it upwards and around me, forming a bubble around myself. I grab a gun off an already deceased body but it's empty. Looks like I've got no weapon except myself. Sprinting down the hallway, I don't encounter anyone until about three fourths of the way down the hallway where three gunned people stand pointing their weapons at me. "Lee Jess. Stop moving and place your hands above your head." One of them shouts at me. I decide just to ignore their demands, I can feel my fog in its bubble around me, but it has turned clear. I slowly walk towards them dramatically, daring them to shoot. I'm either going to die later or die now so if this shield thing doesn't work I guess I've chosen the latter. "Halt!" They yell at me again. The second one looks pretty pissed off at my non-scared expression and he aims at my shoulder shooting his weapon. The bullet stops right where I want it to, on the surface of my shield. Around where the bullet stops my shield is visible, it turned a foggy white color and then it dropped the bullet. I blew them all a kiss and then expanded my shield, pushing them to the wall and burning them with the icy touch of it. They slump on the ground and I try not to think of it too much as I continue running.
The next body I run into has a full hand gun. I grab it and tuck it into my waistband. I've never shot one before, but it can't be too hard right? Aim and fire. The next person I run into isn't dressed in black and I think it's odd, but I aim the gun towards them and almost fire before I see their face. "Taehyung?" I ask, and he turns around. "Oh my god Jess!" He says and runs towards me for a hug. "Stop!" I yell at him just before he hits my shield. "What is it?" He asks, concern written on his brow. He's already through my shield though. I make it visible by adding a little more fog to it, but it didn't hurt him. Maybe it only blocks those who are trying to harm me. "Oh" He says. "OH!" He says again. "New powers, sweet, come on" He says. I follow Taehyung as he starts running. He's my best chance at getting out of here alive.
Now that I'm pretty sure nothing can stop me or control me, I can talk with all of BTS, telling them that they don't own me and that everything I'm doing is of my own free will. They don't know what I can do yet and I plan to keep it mostly that way. They'll become my puppets, see how they like that. He pulls a walkie-talkie out of his pocket and speaks lowly into it. "The mission has been concluded, all units retreat quickly." He says. Multiple groups join us on our run through the building, but Taehyung assures me that they're his legions. I still don't let them close to me and I leave my shield up. When we break into the daylight I shrink back a little, sun isn't something I've seen in a while. I can feel some of Taehyung's soldiers staring at me and if I catch them doing so, I choose the stare at them back arching my eyebrow. Apparently, we're waiting for Jimin's and Yoongi's group. The other members stayed back at base to oversee the infiltration. They didn't bring enough troops to defeat NCT, but they planned on getting me out and possibly starting enough fires to severely hurt their cocaine business.
Five minutes later, both groups appear, gunshots flying. Our group can't shoot at them because the other groups are in the way. Fire, wind, water, ice, and weird animals are all in odd fights too. Suddenly, a thought occurs to me and I run towards the groups flying towards us. I push my shield out to cover the circumference of our group and motion for them to step back. I think only of Jimin and Yoongi's group coming for us, thinking of them as friends who won't hurt me and as soon as they reach us, they hurtle through the fog but the people behind us hit it and start dropping, screaming in pain as red and white burns appear all over their skin. Their eyebrows furrow but I motion for them to run. Everyone starts heading towards the train railing its way towards us. Apparently, we have to jump on. Yoongi motions for Jimin to continue and he does, but Yoongi stays next to me.
I can feel the pull of energy that the shield is taking as the group on the other side throws things at it. Grenades, powers and bullets don't make it through. Yoongi starts shooting them and the front lines start dropping. Taking the hint, they back up. Understanding that they're no match for me. Or at least they aren't when I can sustain it. When It falters slightly Yoongi places his hand on my shoulder and the flow of fog continues, I stop the flow of fog from my shoulder so that he won't be burnt. "I'm sharing my energy with you. You don't have enough endurance yet to sustain your power for long lengths of time. Lower vampires don't either, that's why we still fight with guns a lot. Rare powers are what get you into a higher family and high families only marry within their own powers, Calling themselves pure. If anyone's pure here it's you though, that's what we should Call your power. Pure." He says. I nod at him but continue my flow. "3...2...1" Yoongi says and then we both turn and bolt. His hand stays on my shoulder and my shield contains only us two now, the rest are on their own. We sprint at top speed down towards the tracks and the train blows its horn at us.
People are filing themselves onto the open cars of the train, reminding me of the movie divergent. Yoongi jumped straight up, and I got into the car next to him. It uses a lot more muscles to do that then I thought, good thing I took dance for my entire life. I avoided the gaze of those in my car, but I could feel their gaze on me. "Jess!" I hear behind me, I turn to face it. Its Jimin and he's running toward at full speed I place my hands up to stop him, but not my shield. I don't want to hurt him. He doesn't slow, instead he tackles me and wraps his arms around my waist. "I thought I'd lost you." He mumbles quietly into the fabric of my shirt. I shake him off and help him up, not liking the smell of the floor. "I know" I said. His feelings were clear but mine weren't. He could easily start controlling me and force me into saying 'I love you' or something stupid like that. I think he sensed this as he looked down at his toes, awkward silence filling the void.
Without warning, the burning came back in ferocity. As Jimin looked at his feet the fire forced me to look at his neck. Neck? Why his n...neck? I tried to think but the burning took over. My vision went hazy and I felt my limbs move but I wasn't in control. Something had taken over my emotions and my body and I felt myself jerking around on the ground before I went still, and the darkness pulled me under a blanket of stars.
