Tieyan POV

"WHAT?!" I shriek at Abdullah. "No! No no no! They are NOT taking Breeze!" I yell, motioning to my dragon.

"Tieyan it's the only way to get out of this," Abdullah says.

I read the scroll again. "Five other people," I murmur. "I wonder who or where they are."

"Well..." Abdullah says, and motions to Star. "She has a jewel around her neck. Who's dragon is that?"

"My sister's," I tell her.

"Where's your sister?"

"Here. Somewhere. She was kidnapped by the ogres."

"I'm so sorry."

"It's not your fault."

"Okay," I say. "We have to find Sumya. But first, we should probably find out where she's being held.

Abdullah nods her agreement. "I think I know. The ogres have this huge, rustic palace. I think she may be in the king's dungeon. But I've been thinking. If the ogres want your dragons, then why not just take them? Why did they have to take you to?"

She's right. Why take me? Why take Sumya? When they could just take our dragons?

"Hm... maybe they can't take the dragons!" Says Abdullah, answering her own question. "Maybe they need you. Look."

She pulls out the scroll again. "It looks... ripped."

I realize the uneven fringed paper. "You're right," I say. "Now, we just have to find the missing piece."

Sumya POV

I can see the glisten of the tear that drops from Jasper's eye. "We're stuck here," he speaks my thoughts.

"Stuck," Ember echos. "I knew it."

"No we're not!" Harper and I say in unison.

Suddenly, I hear the cell door slowly creek open. "Sum-yah," I hear a gruff voice.

"Sumya," I hiss.

"Come. Sum-yah," the voice says again.

My eyes widen in fear. The ogre unlocks my shackles. Harper, Ember, and Jasper are all pressed against the wall, trembling.

What is this?! Who is taking me?! Where am I going?! Am I free? I immediately shake the hopeful thought out of my mind.

I am half walked half dragged into a different chamber. It is smaller than the room before. I see six small holes in the walls. I figure they're just storage.

The ogre grunts something that I cannot hear, and leaves the room.

I look up. Stalactites line the roof of the cavern, water dripping off of a few.

"Welcome," I hear a voice hiss. I peer into the darkness. "I've been expecting you."

The creature slithers into the light. It's a hybrid. A snake tail and fangs, human face, and a dragon body and wings.

"What are you," I whisper.

"I am Hedas."
