I post these things here because...I think there is just something about sharing them.

All of these things I have written are personal on some level and I think sharing them with you guys makes me feel, I don't know, like I'm giving you a bit of an insight into me. Perhaps and abstract kind of insight, but insight all the same.

I hope you guys don't mind me posting these things here, no-one ever bothers to read them if it's not part of this story.

Either way, these sorts of short pieces are me stretching the writing muscles so to speak, making sure I don't get rusty and at the same time, expressing myself, sharing little pieces of myself in my writing. These short pieces are always straight from the heart to the mind to the fingers (which fumble on occasion, stupid appendages). They are different to my fictional pieces, and as of yet, the only things I have ever finished and been happy with (mostly). 

So...I hope you at least don't hate them.

P.S. Also, if you can't tell by now, I like the night. Another one written at 3am.

Stardust

The night sky

It is incandescent

The moon, the stars

In the dark, they shine

Far beyond

The reach of sight

Lie stars

Immense and innumerable

And still

The starlight

It calms

Soothing my mind

In the knowledge

There is more

Beyond my sight

Oh, I yearn

I yearn to see them

To bathe in the radiance

Where space is cold

But starlight is warm

And as a star shoots by

In the dark, I whisper my wish

To see

Eyes of planets, moons and stars

Galaxies turn before me

And they will turn after me

By my wish will live on

Timeless in the starlight

And as the galaxies turn

And the moons wax and wane

Always in my heart and eye

Shall forever lie
