Justin POV:
I looked at the review mirror. I saw Rose's car right behind me. I turned my attention back to the road. I thought about what happened earlier. She hugged me and she smiled at me. She didn't yell or rolled her eyes at me, like usual. Which really surprised me.
I turned into an exit, leaving the highway. I can't stop thinking what Jose said. He really gets in my nerves. I ignored the thought and took one last turn to the parking lot. I parked and turned off the engine. Rose parked next to my car and did the same thing.
"The beach? Why?" She asked, getting out her car.
"Because I just want to show you this. It's been a while since I went to this beach. My family owns it, but we barely come here." I said, leaning on my car. Rose walked closer to me. Crossing her arms across her chest.
"Really? It's yours?" I nod.
"My family got way better jobs and they get a lot more money." I chuckled. Rose looked uncomfortable. She stares out at the ocean. "What's wrong?" I asked.
"Nothing." She shook her head. "Just thinking." She looks at me, smiling a fake smile. "Let's go look around." She shoved her hands into her pockets and walked to the sidewalk. I followed her. She looks around, taking it all in. I took a deep breath, enjoying the smell of the ocean.
"It's so beautiful." She said, looking around.
"Yes, it is." I looked down at her. "Want to go for a swim?" I asked.
She looked at me. "I don't have a bathing suit." She stated.
"So do I," I smirked. I grabbed her hand. "Come on!" We ran down the steep, sandy hill.
"Justin! Slow down!" Rose laughed. As we ran, I tripped, taking Rose down with me. We rolled down the hill. Rose couldn't stop laughing. When we reached the bottom, Rose was still laughing. I laughed along with her. I laid on my back, looking up at the clouds. I closed my eyes.
"The last one in the ocean is a rotten egg!" I snapped my eyes open. I saw Rose running down the sandy, white beach. I got up and ran. It's a good thing I can run fast because I caught up to her quickly. When I was close enough to her, I wrapped my arms around her waist, tackling her to the ground.
"Umph!" Rose grunted as she fell on her face. I looked at her. She was spitting sand out of her mouth." Justin let me go!"
"Not a chance, cupcake." I chuckled. I rolled her over, I trapped her hand above her head. "There is no chance that I am going to be the rotten egg." I heard her breathing quicking. I smiled to myself. I lowered my head, so our faces were a few centimeters away.
"Justin, stop." She said, breathlessly. I laughed and lifted my head.
"Then say that I am not a rotten egg."
She smiles."No." I smiled.
"Have it your way." She raised her eyebrow. I let go of her hands, but I didn't get off of her. I started to tickle her. She started to laugh like crazy.
"Justin! Stop! I can't breathe!" She laughed out.
"Then say it." I challenged.
"Fine! I'll say it! I'll say it!" She said breathlessly. I stopped tickling her. I put my hands on both sides of her head.
"You are not rotten eggs." She said.
"Thank you." I got up and gave her my hand. She took it and I lifted her up. "Now was it so hard."
"Shut up." She shoved me.
"That wasn't nice." I glared at her.
"And?"
