Chapter 6

Niall's POV:

I watch her as she collects her things from her- um our locker. Of course, ladies first so I let her go. If I ever have to share a locker again, I hope it's with Kadence.

I grab the rest of my books and shove them into my bag absentmindedly and catch up with Kadence as she walks out of the door.

"See Niall, you are a cutter." she says.

"Thanks for the lovely compliment." I joke.

"Anytime,"

"Hey where do you live?" Wow. That literally sounds like I am trying to stalk her. I just wanna know where she lives so maybe we can hang out sometime!

"Umm, only a street behind you I think. What street do you live on?"

"It's s like Chestnut Lane or something like that."

"Yah I do live behind you." she says. My eyes light up once I hear that.

"Maybe we can, hang out sometime or something." I say as I fidget with my hands. "I mean, only if you wanna."

"Why wouldn't I, you're a great friend ya know. Even thought if I haven't known you for a full 24-hours, it feels like-"

"I've known you for a long time." we say in unison. There's a long pause before we talk again.

"Yep, it's weird." she says. "How do you like Makenna as your math partner." Kadence nudges me in the shoulder.

"She's really fun. She can crack a good joke or two." I smile.

"So I hear you got a date on Friday with Brent, huh." Once I say that, she blushes and rolls her eyes. "Yah, I've been waiting for this moment for like EVER," she goes on and on about how she's had a crush on him since 3rd grade and all of that stuff. I just notice how every time she talks about him, she smiles. Kadence must really like him. I spot the familiar house that I just moved into last night and stop in my tracks, Kadence does the same.

"Is this your house?" she asks.

"Yep, just moved in last night." I huff.

"Well, see you tomorrow." she sighs. "Hey I didn't even get your phone number!"

"Oh yah," I laugh and we exchange phones. After that, I watch her walk away and I look down at my phone:
