Jason's pov
I was practicing my pitch when an owl landed on a tree over my head. "Whoa." I whisper caught off guard. I toss the ball to the umpire and he catches it easily. "Drat." I whisper annoyed. I hear a piercing screech and the owl dove at me! I jumped out of the way, skinning my elbows. "What's the big idea?" It had a piece of paper in its beak. Weird. "What are you doing?" The umpire called. "Nothing. I'm fine. Take five." I call back to him, standing up and dusting myself off. It was weird. I felt like I was being watched. The umpire walked back to the center of camp. The bird squawked again. "Easy." I say, walking slowly to get the paper, not wanting to get pecked of course. It dropped the paper into my hand and flew into the tree. I unfold the old looking document, a red seal on the front. "Looks fancy." I mumble.

Minerva McGonagall.I stare at the letter beyond confused. I never applied to any school. I sure would have remembered it. The owl squawked overhead again and swooped down landing on my arm! Whoa. "I am so confused right now!"
*One week later*
When I get home, Miranda is waiting for me. I smile and hug her. "I've got to show you something. You're not going to believe it!" She says, catching me off guard since I was about to say the same thing. We walk down to her house and she pulls out a letter that looks exactly like mine! I stare at it shocked then pull mine out. "Do you think it's a scam?" She asks. I shrug unsure. "Only one way to find out."
*To King's Cross Station*
There was a whole bunch of people pushing and waiting while lugging heavy luggage carts. I just had one suitcase and my guitar along with the awesome owl who refuses to leave my side. Miranda looks nervous. I don't think our parents believe the letter. We find the 9th platform. "But where's nine and three quarters?" My best friend asks. Suddenly a redhead flies past followed by a girl chasing him. "Race ya!" He shouts. "Hey wait!" I call. The boy stops in his tracks and the girl runs into him. They're totally siblings. "Hey we're looking for platform 9 3/4. But I don't know where it could be. Cause there's nine and ten." "They must be muggleborns." The girl whispers. "I.... Wow you're... You've got Hogwarts letters?" The boy says. I nod. "Cool. I'll show you how to get there. The name's Ron by the way and this is Ginny my sister." "I'm Jason and my best friend Miranda." We walk a little ways til we reach a brick wall. "OK this is gonna sound crazy to muggleborn kids but you've got to run into the wall. You'll go right through it to 9 3/4." I stare at him perplexed. "Is this some kinda prank?" I gape. "Ugh so the letter is a sham." Miranda grumbled beside me. "No it isn't." Ron says. "Ginny show them." The girl laughs and runs straight for the wall. Shock fills me when she does go right through it. "Holy Hanna!" Miranda says, just as shocked. "But how do people not know about this?" "Muggles can't see wizards go through the portal. I glance at my best friend. "So this is real. You're a wizard." My dad says nervous. "It's alright. He's going to the best school for this kinda thing. Ya'll will be able to learn how to control your magic and make potions. It's so much fun." Ron says. "I'll see ya for the holidays." I say hugging my mom and dad. Miranda does the same. "Here goes nothing." I say. We run onto the platform. "That's so cool!" She gasps looking back. There's a loud whistle that causes my owl to squawk irritated. I decided to name him Athens. "All Aboard." I see written on the side Hogwarts Express.
