Jason's pov

After class, I was trying to find Gryffindor common room but I'm completely lost. Between the moving stairs and the endless hallways, I've got no clue where I am! And it's getting late. Suddenly a see through guy phases through the wall beside me. I scream in surprise and try to calm my racing heart. "What the heck, man?! You almost gave me a heart attack!!" I lower my wand. "My apologies, I was looking for someone. The hallways are usually empty this time of night." The curly haired apparition says. "Are... Are you a ghost?" "Aw you must be a first year. Let me guess, lost?" I nod nervous. "My name is Nick. Everyone calls me nearly headless Nick." Huh? "Why?" I gape confused. He pulls his ghostly head almost completely off and I have to fight back another scream. "I'm Gryffindor's house ghost." Good. "I'm looking for the Gryffindor common room. I'm so lost." "Yes. Follow me. Let's hope Minerva doesn't catch you wandering the halls." I remember that name from my letter. She's the headmistress but I don't know her that well. After a long walk, we make it to the common room. "Thanks Nick." I say the password, "Fortuna Major." And the door opens. Ron and Neville were waiting for me. "Where the blazes have you been?" "I got lost." I say embarrassed. "I was about to round up a search party." I laugh slightly. "That means alot that you care so much about little ol me." I joke earning a laugh from Hermione. Ron's face turns as red as his hair. "No!" He gasps embarrassed. "I just didn't want you to get caught and make us lose house points!" He gasps defensively, making me laugh. "If you say so." I say, heading to my bed. What a day! And it's only my first!
