~ opening ~
It's was 2am on a Saturday night. Ace stared blankly at the ceiling. Sure, they succeeded in arresting Kale and saving Colby's life.. But did they really?
Mental torture is not an easy thing to overcome, he's definitely going to be suffering for a long period of time after, he thought, rolling over onto his side, facing the wall. He's gonna know a good percentage of what happen, and will probably still feel worthless, suicidal even. And I know he will not be able to tell Sam any of this.
Ace sighed aloud, running his hand through his hair, his mind still running. I get it was worth it saving Sam's boyfriend's life, but.. If he's just gonna take it himself, was it really worth it? We would've gotten Kale arrested for kidnapping and mental torture anyways afterwards .. Am I trying to knock on Sam and Colby, no.. But..
Ace turned to face his clock on his nightstand, his eyes bloodshot from the lack of sleep the last few nights. Overwhelming thoughts playing through his mind, preventing him from sleeping. Was the risk worth it if Colby is just gonna kill himself?

An everlasting silence, a feeling void of darkness surrounding Colby. It felt like a million years he's been out. How long would he remain out? Forever?
He struggled to moved. No use. He attempted to open his eyes. No use. The only grip of reality he had was his heart monitor next to his bed, beeping slowly and loudly. Colby was alive, barely.
How long has it been? He thought, I'm consciously aware of everything; I'm obviously alive.. But.. Im just.. Out. In a coma?
A tapping sound filled his silence. An opening of a door accompanied it. Was someone in his room? And if so, who? These are the questions Colby will never have an answer to..

Solaris stared down at the body of Colby, glistening tears filled her gaze. She knew this was partly her fault. It was my fault.. I helped Kale with his first part of his plan, and now Colby's stuck in this comatose state. Tears slowly rolled down her cheek.
Sam tried convincing her it wasn't her fault, but she insisted that was.. And that she should pay the price for it.
"What's the price?" Sam inquired the brunette female. She didn't reply. She stared blankly at him.
Now, Solaris is giving that same blank stare to the body of the barely living Colby. She glanced down at her sleeve, slowly rolling them up. Small, tiny cuts buried deep within in her wrist.
"This is the price, Sam," she whispered to no one in particular. "I've done this to Colby, and now he and I are both struggling through pain. He's no longer alone in his suffering, nor will he ever be." She rolled her sleeve back down, sighing.
I shouldn't have helped Kale, she thought, turning away to leave the room. But now, he won't he suffering pain alone.. And he never will again..
