Xaviers P.O.V.
I sat there cuddling Matthew as Maxi licked his face. He has bruises all over his face and arms. "What happened to you?" I whispered.
"I got beat up at school again" he whimpered under his breath.
I sighed quietly, "You can change schools if you want". Matthew stared up at me and nodded. Just then I hear the front door slam open. "Upstairs" I shouted. Not long after I hear feet stomping up the stairs.
My friend Skyler walks into Matthew's room. She looks at Matthew and I with a confused look on his face, "Who's this?" She asks.
"My younger brother Matthew" I explain.
"How come I've never met him before?" Skyler asks.
"He is usually at school or in the woods whenever you come over," I explain.
"Oh, that explains it," she said, sitting on Matthews bed. "So are you coming to work today?" Skyler questioned.
"Probably not."
She nodded, "Sounds good," she paused, "I'll more than likely stop by on my way home from work." I nodded as Skyler got up and left.
Matthew sat there hugging Maxi for a while before I got up and went downstairs. I flopped down on the couch and before I knew it I was fast asleep.
