She couldn't see anything but a bright and blinding light all around her. She could hear the air whipping around her as she fell what seemed like an eternity. The light disappeared and everything came to a sudden stop as she crashed into the water. Kat surfaced and gasped for air. She looked up and saw a dark overcast sky. She heard Emma splashing and gasping for air behind her. Kat turned and quickly swam over to Emma, who was having trouble keeping her head above the water. Emma grabbed on to Kat and they started treading water.

"WHAT THE HELL?" Emma yelled. They heard two big splashes as Kiona and Ally dropped into the water next to them. Kiona was the first to surface.

"Kiona! Over here", Emma said holding out her hand.

"Where's Ally?" Kiona asked, taking Emma's hand.

"I'm right behind you," Ally said. Kat spotted shore and turned to the others.

"At least we're not far from land," she said, pointing toward the docks.

The swim to shore was quiet and tiring. The choppy waters made it hard to swim. Emma was not a good swimmer, so Kiona stayed close to her. Ally spotted a ladder at the end of the docks and made a beeline for it. They collapsed on the dock when they got out of the water, exhausted from the swim.

"Well, that was fun," Emma said sarcastically, breaking the silence. Kat propped herself up on her elbows and looked at her confused.

"What about any of this did you find fun?" Kiona asked. Emma sat up and gave Kiona an irritated look.

"Well, let's see..." she said. "First, we were almost hit by a bus. Then we were abducted by a magical talking tree that wants our help to save the world. We were given alien essence and magic powers. We didn't get an instruction manual on our powers. Oh, and we were dropped in the ocean and, FYI, I suck at swimming. I'm cold, I'm wet, we have no idea what we are doing or how we are going to do it. So, yeah, I'm having a blast. How about you?" Everyone stared at Emma dumbfounded.

"Well, look at it this way. It can't get any worse," Ally said trying to lighten the mood.

Kat yelped at a sudden flash of lightning and crash of thunder. Everyone looked at Ally.

"Never say it can't get any worse. Karma will take it as a challenge," Kat said as it started to rain. She caught movement out of the corner of her eye. She saw someone limping and hold their side. She watched as they entered a nearby building. The side of the building read EL DORADO Shipping and Storage.

"I wonder," she thought. Kat jumped as another flash of lightning and clap of thunder hit overhead.

"What's up Kat?" Kiona asked.

"I'm not sure," she said still looking at the building. She got up as the rain started to pick up. She took of running toward the building.

"Come on let's get out of the rain," she called over her shoulder.

"Hey! Wait for us!" Kiona called out. Kat reached the door she saw the mystery person go through and waited for her friends.

"Is the door even unlocked?" Emma asked. Kat turned the knob and smiled at her. They all quickly went inside as the thunder and lightning started to get closer. Kat found a light switch and turned on the lights. Inside the building was full of wooden crates. Some came up to her waist and others were taller than Ally.

"I wonder what's inside," Emma thought.

"This one is open. Give me a boost." Kat said turning to Emma.

"Okay you guys are liking the whole telepathy thing way to much," Ally said grinning. Kat and Emma looked at each other then to Ally.

"Yep", they both said. Emma boosted Kat up so she could look into the box.
