The motel room was very quiet. Emma and Kat sat opposite each other at the table. Kat was fidgeting with her soda can while Emma levitated a softball. Kat pulled the tab off the can and let out a small huff.
"They've been gone for over an hour," she said looking at Emma.
"They're fine Kat. Stop worrying so much"
Kat held the tab between her fingers. The energy inside her swirled, telling her what to do.
"We shouldn't have let them go alone. It's not safe," Kat whined. She pushed the energy she used for flight into her fingers and flicked the tab. The tab flew out from between her fingers and embedded itself in the wall behind Emma. Kat's eyes widened when she saw the tab sticking out of the wall.
"Oops," she thought. She suddenly felt dizzy and grabbed the sides of the table. Emma looked at her and then followed her gaze to the wall.
"What do you mean 'oops'?" she asked her, raising an eyebrow.
"Nothing!" she said quickly. "Maybe we should try and call them. Just to be sure." Emma sighed and reached out with her mind to Ally and Kiona.
"Where are you guys? Kat is driving me nuts worrying about you," she said.
"We're coming up the stairs now," Ally said with a small laugh.
"Sorry we ran into Suho. He gave us something you might be interested in," Kiona said.
Emma could tell they were both very happy for some reason. She looked at Kat who was over at the wall looking at something.
"Told you there was nothing to worry about," she told her. They heard the door unlock and open. Ally and Kiona both had a big smile across their face.
"So what was up with Suho?" Kat asked taking a seat back at the table. Kiona handed her a flyer that read "Cafe Universe Help Wanted Please Call (109)-555-0182 for information.

"Wow this a good day for want ads," Emma said handing Ally a yellow flyer.
"Roommates wanted? Where did this come from?" she asked surprised.
"This cute guy gave it to me earlier when we went to the laundromat down the street," Emma told her. Kat started to fidget at the table.
"What's wrong with you?" Kiona asked
"Just thinking about the last job interview. You know, the one I missed by two days, thanks to a certain talking tree," she said slightly annoyed.
"I don't think the tree did it on purpose," Kiona said
"Yeah, it's not like it knew you had an interview," Ally said walking over to the kitchen. She stopped and looked at the wall.
"Damn it Emma, will you watch what you're doing when you practice," she said turning to Emma. Emma's eyes went wide.
