Peeta and I travel to the Capitol, leaving Willow and Rye in the care of Gale's mother. When we get there, we are greeted immediately by Flavius and Octavia. "Darling," they say in their funny Capitol accents. "You let your eyebrows grow in!" Flavius says sadly. Octavia shakes her head in disapproval. "Just because you don't attend many gatherings anymore doesn't mean you can't worry about appearance," she says.

I laugh and pull Peeta closer.

"I hate it here already," I mutter into his ear.

He looks at me and I can see in his eyes he agrees and feels the same.

Just then Plutarch walks up and greets us.

"How have my leaders been?" He bellows, drunken happily.

I wince as he reminds us of the Rebellion.

"Okay," Peeta answers for us, "but we need to talk to you."

Plutarch's eyes narrow. "What about?"

We pull him over to a small corner.

"My son found a Mockingjay pin in District 12," I tell him.
