The day started off as my typical everyday life. I got up, I went to school, I got detention from my science teacher, and I went home.
It was a mistake to come home when I did because the second I walked in the door, my father was standing above my mother. The second I seen the blood all over the floor, my face went pale.
"What did you do?" I screamed at my father.
He looked up from my mom and gave me a blank stare.
"She was acting too much like a bitch for my taste. I pray one day, you'll never be like her." He said.
I fell to the ground where she was laying. I checked for a pulse and was relieved when she still had one.
With strength I never lnew I possessed, I picked her up and laid her down on the couch. I heard the backdoor slam.
It had to be dad going out to to chop the wood for the winter that was already upon us. I'm not sure how long I sat there by my mom's side after I took care of her wounds until her eyes fluttered open. The second her eyes seen my face she immediately began to cry. All I could do was hold her while the sobs racked through her weak body.
When she finally stopped crying, my heart turned cold towards my dad. I waited until she fell asleep when I slowly went outside to where I knew he was.
This wasn't the first time he abused her because he simply felt like it. I knew damn good and well that mom didn't do anything to deserve what he did to her. I just turned 18 three days ago and I already planned to get my mom away from him if she'd let me.
I came out of the backdoor to see dad furiously chopping wood.
"I'm sick of watching my mom put up with you. You don't deserve her and you never have." I said coldly.
I have no respect for a man that beats his wife.
As soon as the words left my mouth, he snapped his head towards my direction.
"Talk to me like that again, you'll be in the same condition your mom is in." He replied with no emotion.
I walked a few steps closer to him and crossed my arms defiantly.
"I dare you." I spat.
He seemed shocked by what I just did because I am usually quiet and I keep to myself. I don't even have any friends at school. I never needed them.
He dropped his axe and slowly walked over to where I was until we were inches apart from each other. My face was pretty much in his chest and I had to look up at him.
All of a sudden, my face stung from where he slapped me. Trust me, he didn't show any mercy in it.
Without me realizing it, my body began to shake with my anger I had supressed for all these years if seeing him beat my mom. The shaking began to get worse to where I looked like I was having a seizure because I was shaking so bad.
Then, the shaking stopped and my bones began to snap into different places and the pain was so horrible I felt like my insides were set on fire. Dad began to freak out seeing me in that condition so he took a few steps back.
I fell to the ground as my body kept breaking and I felt every bit of the pain as my body began to shift into a huge gray wolf.
I had no idea what was going on but the second my eyes laid on my father I howled and jumped on him. I just went by instincts and let the wolf do what she wanted. I began to tear him a part until you couldn't recognize him as a man, but just roadkill. The back of my throat burned with the sensation of tasting his blood. His screams were loud, but I easily tuned him out because flashbacks of the times he nearly beat my mom to death reaplayed in my mind making me even more furious as I tore into every part of his flesh.
