Telling a Memory

It's been months since Drago Bludvist and a year after the Shadow King. Hiccup and Astrid now married, and they were planning something that only they know.

Ruffnut and Snotlout had truly gotten together a month after Drago disappeared, and Fishlegs had found himself a girl named Gretchen who came on a ship with Trader Johan looking for a new life. Tuffnut had himself a girl, also, that was almost as destructive as he named Ratchet.

"So babe, what are we gonna do today?" Hiccup asked Astrid, who was cooking, as he comes down the stairs one morning. He comes up behind her and kisses her cheek.

"Oh, I don't know," Astrid says turning around and placing her arms on his shoulders. She kisses him as he pulls her closer by the waist.

"I tell you what. Later tonight we'll go on a flight," Hiccup suggests. They haven't been on one in weeks, his chief duties keeping him away most of the time.

"That sounds like fun," Astrid looks in his eyes.

"It's a date," he kissed her. "I hate to say it, but..." he trails.

"I know, handsome, I know," Astrid says.

Hiccup goes out the door and takes off on Toothless, heading towards the never ending sky to observe Berk from afar. It's only takes a few seconds to spot three little darts go across the ground.

"Those little tykes," Hiccup chuckles to himself.

Every so often, new recruits get inducted into the academy. Astrid has taken over since Hiccup is now chief. Hiccup drops by to say hello to his beautiful wife for a minute or two, only to get swarmed by the little ones.

"Let's see what they're up to, shall we bud?"

Toothless takes off to catch up to them, staying high above them but away to avoid having his shadow trail across them.

They young ones were headed to the forest, probably to try out their new techniques on their own. They weave amongst the trees, a Monstrous Nightmare at the lead. On the right was a Deadly Nadder and the left a Gronkle.

Starlight was the leader of the three kids. She wore her black hair in a ponytail, her purple eyes always full of curiosity. She wore a brown skirt with a white sleeveless shirt with brown leggings and ankle high boots. Thorn is on the Nadder. He was a trouble maker, almost as much as the twins. This little rascal had the typical blue eyes but had brown hair so light it was almost blonde, kinda like a sandy blonde. He wore a black shirt with blue pants that covers his boots. Hubert rides the Gronkle. He wore a helmet nearly all the time, simply because he manages to always hurt himself because he was kinda clumsy. He wore a black fur vest and brown pants with no shoes usually. Today he decided to wear shoes.

"Look guys! There it is!" Thorn points. "It's where they met!"

"Eek!" Starlight squeals. "I bet they're first moment together was romantic!"

"I bet they went as fast as they could go!' Hubert chimes in.

"Why would they do that when they wanted to spend time together?" Starlight asks as they land in a low clearing. It was surrounded by trees and had a pond in it.

"I don't know. Maybe it wasn't that way at first?" Thorn shrugs his shoulders.

"You've got to be kidding me..." Starlight pinches the bridge of her nose in frustration.

"No, actually.. He's got a point," Hiccup says as Toothless lands.

They all three jump as they turn around. They stood with their mouths open as Hiccup dismounts Toothless and lands in one fluid motion.
