Prologue

“Cassy?” he says suddenly. I love hearing my name in his beautiful voice. It has been one whole year since I saw him for the first ever time and he still has the same effect on me. This guy is perfection personified.

I look at him questioningly. He smiles.

“What?” I ask.

“Nothing. I love the way your eyes grow bigger when you’re confused.” He answers, still smiling.

“Oh…” I mutter as I blush. Yes, his compliments still make me blush like crazy.

“Cassy….what am I gonna do without you, baby?!” he asks suddenly, looking straight in my eyes.

I turn my head away from him to hide my tears.

“Cassidy Wilson! You promised you won’t cry!” he exclaims, hugging me tightly.

“Go away, Niall! If it wasn’t for your celebrity status, we could have been together!” I scream angrily as I untangle myself from his embrace and run away as fast as I could. I can hear him calling me and coming after me but I just increase my speed and keep running towards my house.

Finally, I reach my destination and lock the door from inside. I can still hear his voice and knocks on the door but I ignore them as I slide down the floor and burst into tears. If only he wasn’t famous….if only!

After 15 minutes or so, he gives up at last and leaves, but not before saying how much he loves me and forever will, no matter what.

Suddenly, my phone rings and the catchy music of ‘Save You Tonight’ fills the room. I sigh. This song has so many memories attached with it. This was the song Niall sang when he confessed his love for me, a year ago. And this was the song playing in the café where I first saw him. I still remember that day clearly….
