"I love you, Cass." Niall murmured softly as I kissed the crook of his neck.

It was about 9 p.m. We were sitting cozily and cuddling on his beanbag in his room and all the other boys were out.

"I love you more." I mumbled back.

"So I guess tonight it's just me and the love of my life." he said, cupping my face with one hand and playing with my locks with the other.

"M-hmm.." I replied, closing my eyes and surrendering myself to his electric touch.

I could feel him inching towards me slowly and finally our lips met with a soft collision. His teeth sweetly tormented my lips, nibbling ever so passionately but softly at the same time. And then his tongue caressing mine. The things this guy could do with his mouth!

Suddenly, as I relished the delicious kiss, I felt his hands leave my face and go under my shirt. He leaned in on me further, our bodies touching. The pleasure ended out of nowhere as I stiffened and stopped kissing him, my grasp around his hair loosening.

"What happened?" he mumbled, still quite engrossed in the moment, lightly holding my waist under the clothing.

"I-I gotta go." I stuttered, standing up abruptly.

"But...Cassidy? All okay, love?" asked Niall as he too stood up, his eyes all concerned now.

"Y-yeah, I just...remembered something. Um, see you later." I replied, still stammering, as I attempted to smooth down my hair somehow.

"Cassy, wait." he said as he put a hand on my shoulder.

"No!" I heard myself snapping as I involuntarily jerked off his hand forcefully.

I could see his expression transform into sadness from concern.

"Do I repel you that much?" he asked quietly, his blue eyes growing darker and more upset.

"No, it's just that...I don't know, Niall. I'll see you tomorrow. Please." I mumbled absent-mindedly as I protectively crossed my arms across my chest.

He kept looking at me with a look of strange surprise on his face.

"I..uh, good night." I whispered, controlling the tempting urge to console him, to hold him, to tell him that I'm the one at fault and not him.

I looked at him one last time for that time and then turned to walk away.

My unsuspecting boyfriend had accidentally ripped open some of the raw wounds I still possessed.

"So the human nervous system can be classified into three. The..."

I looked straight ahead at Mr. Johannson, our Biology teacher, as if he was teaching something of utmost fascination. Anything to avoid Niall's piercing stare aimed at me since morning.

"Hey.." whispered Riley who was sitting adjacent to me.

I gave her a questioning look.

"Why are you ignoring Niall?" she asked.

I stared at her, somewhat surprised. Since the last few weeks, what with Niall and I dating and me devoting all my time to him, I had pretty much avoided my friends, only talking and hanging out when I absolutely had to. I doubted they even knew I was going out with Niall.

"Oh, we're not that stupid, Cassy. Whole school knows about you guys. I'm sure you didn't notice but all the girls of the school, especially Ronnie, have been passing you the steely glares since ages.  In fact, wait for a few more days and I'm certain the paps will come around too." she replied, rolling her eyes.
