Chapter 14:

Zayn's POV.

We walked in the front door and were hit by a cold breeze.

So cold that I got goosebumps.

And I'm the "hot head" here.

The rest of the boys were shivering already.

"Why is it so cold?" Liam asked.

You could see his breath as he talked.

I looked over towards the wall leading to the basement and there was ice hanging from the ceiling over it.

"The basement!" I exclaimed before running through the wall.

We all entered in and I looked at the sight before me in shock.

Everything was covered in snow.

Ice was sticking out of the ground.

And in the middle of it all, a girl laid on the ground, unconscious.

I ran over to her and with every step I took, the ground unfroze beneath me.

I kneeled in front of her and started to shake her awake.

She had beautiful long black hair, very pale skin, and was wearing a black dress.

By now, the boys had crowded around me.

The girl started to open her eyes and they were a very deep blue.

"Zayn?" she mumbled.

That voice.

"Autumn? Is that you?" I asked her in shock.

She sat up and looked around the room.

"Yeah, it's me. And, what's happened to me?" She asks with fear in her eyes.

I helped her stand up.

"It seems that you've gotten your powers." Harry states.

I looked around the room once again and started shivering.

This isn't good.

"So I'm ice?" she asked.

"Apparently." Louis said.

"G-guys, c-can we g-go upstairs?" I asked whilst my teeth chattered.

I'm not supposed to be this cold, or else I'll pass out.

Liam looked alarmed.

"C'mon then mate. Lets get you warmed up." He said before throwing me over his shoulder and sprinting towards the stairs.

"Zayn!" I heard Autumn yell before I slipped into unconsciousness.

I hope that isn't the last time I'll hear her voice.

Autumn's POV.

"Oh Zayn please wake up!" I cried, tears flowing down my cheeks.

The boys had Zayn on the floor, right next to the fire, and covered him in blankets.

"Autumn! Calm down!" Louis yelled at me.

"Calm down? How am I supposed to calm down! I nearly killed him!" I sobbed and punched a hole in the wall.

The wall is now covered in ice.

The boys looked at me, completely shocked.

"Autumn! Stop it!" Liam screamed at me.

I looked at him, enraged.

"No! You stop it! You heart breaker!"

I then threw icicles at him.

He ducked in time though.

"Autumn! Why is this such a big deal?!" Niall screamed.

"Because," I sobbed even harder, "because I almost killed the one I love."

I sunk to my knees in defeat.

"You what?" Zayn sat up and looked at me.

Did he just hear all of that?

I shook my head and got up quickly.

Zayn stood up now. "You love me Autumn?"

I looked at the boys, breathing heavily.

He wasn't supposed to know.

I quickly fled the room and out the front door.

As I was running, I noticed with every step I took, ice formed on the ground.

I wiped tears from my eyes as I ran.

This is not happening.

I bet I'm still asleep, in bed, before another day of school.

I slowed down and tried pinching myself.

Nope.

This is all real.

I heard the boys' shouts from behind me.

I turned around and threw my arm to the side.

"STOP!" I yelled.

Ice shot towards them and thankfully missed.

I started crying again.

"Just leave me alone." I said and sunk to my knees.

"But we can't, love. I can't," I looked up towards Zayn who was walking towards me. Every footstep melting the ice I created. "I can't, because I.... I love you too."
