It was just another boring evening as I read some random creepypasta stories while waiting for my download to finish.  The elder scrolls had  a massive size, 80 gigabytes which consumed a lot of space on my hard-drive but I have wanted to play it for a long time so I suppose a  few sacrifices won't hurt. After all, that was only the download size. As soon as the download would be done and the file would extract itself and be around 40-50 GB only.

But still, it was a pain in the ass to wait for so long. It's taking three days to download this game and I still want to download other games. Steam's summer's sale was on a I couldn't miss the opportunity to buy all the games I desired with a discount, including Resident Evil 6. So many games to play but so little time. The typical dilemma.

I should honestly consider buying a new hard drive,  perhaps the one with 1 terabyte. It would be a lot more convenient to store all of the games I longed to play. Perhaps I should also install a faster bandwidth too.

But in at least half an hour from now, the download  should be finished and I can finally play it. Nevertheless, thirty minutes were unbelievably long so I guess I just have to kill time by reading creepypasta stories. Somehow I ended in the creepypasta gaming sections, which I am not really surprised about at all.

I browsed through the sections and scanned over some of the stories, such as the speculation around lavender town, minecraft horror stories and of course, the famous story of Ben drowned. I have heard a lot from him but was always too lazy to read the original story. Maybe I should read it since I don't really have anything better to do.

To be honest, I find gaming pastas really weird. If a game is haunted or something then I would simply stop playing it. It would be that easy, right? It's not like they could physically hurt anyone in the process.

Watching this guy's videos of Ben was kinda creepy though. The glitches were super bad and it would make anyone wonder if these were even glitches. Still, who knows if this story is actually real, he might have cracked the game.

I used to have that game before but sadly I gave my old Nintendo 64 along with my games away, and God knows where they are at this exact moment. I remember I played Majora's mask non-stop and actually managed to finish the three days cycle and I slightly remember the four day glitch. But I can't remember the rest. I was pretty young when I played it.

I also don't really understand why he kept playing the game if it freaked him out. He could have stopped playing and everything would be fine. But why am I criticizing this work anyways, it's not like it's actually a real story.

I stretched myself and checked if the download had finally been completed. What stuck me though was it notifying me that it needed another twenty minutes.

"Are you fucking serious???"

Looks like my connections is acting up again. Maybe my brother is using the net. Either way I decided to get up and go to my brother's room to see if he's playing as well. I could ask him to wait for twenty minutes until he could play.

As I knocked on the door of my brother Daryl, he didn't answer. I just hope he isn't watching porn or something... that would be very awkward.

I carefully pushed the door open to see my brother huddled in bed while watching goats climb mountains on YouTube.

"Hey little sister! You came to visit me! I'm honored!" He spurted out, seemingly high.

"Hey Daryl... I was just wondering if you were playing online cause the connection suddenly acted up."

"Hahaha, what?" He asked and laughed, his eyes slightly red. Looks like he smoked a bit too much weed.

"Never mind, you have fun, alright?" I said, realizing it would be rather impossible to have a proper conversation with him.

"These goats are incredible. I wonder if I can ever become a goat."

"You surely will someday." I giggled and stepped out of his room, closing the door behind me.

This was currently my life. Both of my parents work abroad so me and my brother were left behind to study college. I am a second year IT student while my brother is a senior Engineering student. He wastes his money on drugs and weed while I usually spend most of my money to buy games. I'd be lying if I didn't feel a bit sorry for my parents but hey, we aren't that bad at school. Only that both of us could do a little bit better. Or probably more than just a little bit.

Either way, I returned to my my room to see if the elder scrolls had completely been downloaded. To my surprise, a different site had been opened on my browser. The heck? I recognized the site at an instant: Cleverbot. And above all the text startled me the most.

"Hey."

When opening cleverbot, wasn't the user the one to start a conversation? Shrugging it off and believing I might have just accidentally clicked something, I closed the tab and returned to see how the download went. It was finally complete after waiting for three days, I could hear my heart jump out of joy.

I was about to click on the file when the browser reappeared, opening cleverbot again.

"Don't ignore me."

Goosebumps crawled over my skin. I have just finished Ben's story and as I recalled he communicated with that dude through cleverbot. The hell was this? No, it had to be an coincidence, Ben isn't real...

Curiosity got the better of me and I decided to reply.

"What do you want?" I typed.

"I want to play with you, (n)."

What the fuck is this? A shiver went up my spine. How the hell did cleverbot know my name? Why did this happen right after reading the story? Could Ben possibly be haunting me?

I shook my head. No way was that possible. It was probably some hacker getting my information and messing around. I should be more careful with what I download from the web. Still, this is effing creepy.

Ugh, it's already 4 am and my class starts at seven. It was still Tuesday. So far from the weekend. I really wanna play but this cleverbot thing is creeping me out. I close the window and proceeded to install the game I downloaded. But as I tried to click on it again, the window opened to the same site as earlier.

"Are you scared of me, (n)?"

You know what? Fuck this. Even if this is just a hacker, it's still creepy. It feels like I am stalked. I am probably stalked.

As many time as I tried to do anything, the window keeps reappearing and I decide to give up. I shut down my PC and decided to sleep the remaining hours I have left.

I lay on my bed, still kind of freaked out. But as long as the computer was off, the hacker won't be able to do much to me. After several seconds of silence, my phone rang, signifying that I have a message. Who would text me? I don't have any friends to text me. it was probably Daryl.

Upon checking the message my heart froze.

"Good night"

The sender of the message was 'no number'.
