Spencer Hastings was always the perfect one. She never messed up, never made a mistake, got perfect grades, the whole package. Until, she got pregnant.
She, of course, never had any intention of getting rid of the baby.
The father, a boyfriend she had named Alex, was an employee from her parents' country club. She knew she shouldn't have taken the next step with him that night, but she was young and very, very dumb.
And so, 10 months later, her daughter Annabeth Pearl Hastings was born kicking and screaming into this world. She was only 17 when she was born and was desperately trying to get into a good college, so she could support herself and her. Her family basically disowned her because "the Hastings' don't mess up".
