We get to spend Christmas in New York. A whole week off, and in one of the most gorgeous cities during the holidays.

I've been here once before. I had gone with the highschool I attended. It was so much fun. We seen some broadway musicals, did some shoping, and did some sight-seeing. We were only in the city for four days at the end of June, but what an amazing time it was.

"This is wierd." Nikki states as she sits on the edge of the bed in our hotel room. My agency has taken it upon themselves to pay for a room for Dominique and I seprate from the boys. Though we're just across the hallway from each other.

"What?" I look up at her from my perch by the window. We're on one of the higher floors of this hotel, which is about twenty floors high, and it amazes me that there are places that I can't see from here because they're blocked by even taller high-rise buildings.

"Staying in a hotel for Chirstmas." She answers. "Usually we'd be at home sitting by the fireplace with a big tree standing in the living room right now."

"It's different." I answer. "But is different really that bad?"

Nikki frowns, nostalgia written all over her face.

"I miss home." She croaks, holding back a waterfall of tears. "I miss mom and dad and Matt."

"Hey," I get up and sit down on the bed next to her, pulling her into my side. "I know it hurts, sis. Maybe we can go out and do something fun."

"Just the two of us?" She asks with darkened eyelashes.

"I'm supposed to stay within the same area as the boys, but maybe we could split up in Times Square?" I suggest, thinking of the best compermise I could possibly make.

"Okay." She agrees, wiping the dampness out of her eyes.

I go over and and talk to the guys, who are more than willing to go to Times Square. We got here yesterday, so we've had time to settle, and we hadn't had any plans until now.

"Hey, Nick?" I ask as we take our own cab seperate from the guys.

"Yeah?" She responds.

I give her a bit of an embarassed smile. "Do you think it'd be alright if I get a seperate room on Christmas eve?"

"Are you kidding?!" She questions excitedly. "I haven't had my own space in forever! That alone would be the best Christmas present."

"Oh, so I don't have to get you anything?" I cock an eyebrow jokingly.

"Well... I mean..." She clams up. I laugh and she giggles.

We meet up with the boys on the walk down, but as I promised, Nikki and I split off from the group. We agree to meet up in the middle of the Square when we're done.

I let Nick pick which stores to go in. First she wants to get a better winter jacket, and so we go into American Eagle.

Nikki goes full fashion guru, picking out clothes not only for herself, but for me to try on too.

"You wear too much black and leather." She mumbles, her face scrunching. "You always look like you're part of a gang."

I give her an odd look. "Uh... thanks?"

"Don't get me wrong, it's your style. But you wear it too much." She continues as we walk past some more stores.

My hands are freezing, so I pull them into the sleeves of the new coat Nikki chose for me.

I don't mind. It's keeping her buisy and she's having fun. Plus it's mostly things that we'll both use and that she needs.

"Hey, how about we go in there?" She points to a lingerie shop. "I need some underwear anyway. I only have one bra."
