I help Nikki pack the next day. She picks her favorite cloths and things to take to Kirsten's, but leaves some stuff here.

I do struggle a little bit with it, but I don't let Nikki see that. Every time I start to get to the point where I'm internally arguing with myself, I go and grab a glass of water or something else.

Then Jack and I bring her home, packing her up in the car.

Nikki's too consumed with excitement to notice that I've fallen silent for nearly the entire drive. Jack's driving the car and I just stare out the window with a lump in my throat.

I know that Kirsten won't ever stop me from seeing my sister, but it makes me sad inside to move her out of my home and into another.

We help her unpack into Jack's old room, and then head back to my house where I put the rest of Nikki's stuff in boxes for her to unpack into the smaller room next time she comes over. Allowing for Jo to move into the more spacious one upstairs.

"Baby, you're awefully quiet." Jack mumbles from behind me, resting his chin on my shoulder. "What're you thinking?"

I look down at my hands somberly. "I'm thinking about how Kirsten's gonna be able to raise Nikki better than I could." I reply. "It's funny. My job is basically being a guardian for a bunch of young adults, but I'm not equiped to handle a kid on my own."

"Maybe one day." Jack kisses my cheek. "But it's okay to not be ready for it now."

"It was never in my plan." I give him a sideways glance. "To have a kid, I mean. I never wanted my own."

"Really?" He gives me a slightly disapointed look.

I nod with a little frown. "I mean, that doesn't mean that plans can't change. But it's not something I've ever had an interest in."

Jack tilts my face towards his and kisses me. "I've thought about it for when I'm older." He replies. "I think I'd like to have a little one running around."

I sigh, leaning the side of my head against his. "Maybe."

He smirks. "That's good enough for me."

I giggle, turning towards him and kissing him again. "What else? What else have you thought about for when you're older?"

"Well..." He trails with a sly smile. "I'd like to eventually get married, if the girl says yes. But even if she'd say no, that's okay. I'd like to grow old with her and tell her just how smart and beautiful she is every single day. And I want to make as many people smile as possible, but most of all I want to see this one girl's smile."

I giggle, leaning my forhead against Jack's. "This girl must mean an aweful lot to you."

"She does." He replies. "She's one of the most important people in my life and I never want to loose her."

My eyes flicker up and I give him a small smile.

"What about you?" He questions back. "Besides for maybe having kids, what have you thought about?"

I honestly haven't planned very far ahead into my future. "I never had much time for planning. I always just went for what I wanted." I confess. "But I'm okay with seeing where I go from here. See, there's this guy..."

Jack grins, sitting me up on my kitchen counter.

"And I really like him and I know he likes me too. Actually, it's more than like at this point." I bit my lower lip. "And where ever he goes, I go. Because I'm the over-protective type and he puts up with me. Plus he's got big plans of his own."

"Really?" He crinkles his nose, the rings sparkling. "And what is it about this boy that's got you so hooked?"

"He actually shows he cares." I reply, scratching the back of his head lightly with the tips of my nails. "And he always has a way to make me feel better. Even if it's just a little bit."

His smile touches the corners of his eyes as he chuckles.

Jo and Jonah walk in and Jack and I make a little bit of distance between ourselves. Partially to avoid awkwardness, and mostly out of respect. There are points where it's acceptable; like cuddling on the couch snd stealing the occasional kiss, but we try to not have full on make out sessions when we know others are around.

I turn to Jo. "There's only a few things left to do upstairs and then you're free to move up."

She smiles greatfully, her hand in Jonah's. "Thanks, Cole."

"Oh! By the way the guys wanna do a movie night out tonight." Jonah let's go of Jo's hand as she goes into the room.

"Oh, awesome!" Jack cheers. "What movie?"

Jonah shurgs. "I donno. I'm down for whatever."

Jack looks to me and I shrug.

"Count us in too." Jack answers for the both of us.
