Jack and I wake up at around eight in the morning. We get dressed and head to the mansion to take a shower. Dan's already awake and downstairs, so it's not awkward when both Jack and I go into thier on-suit to shower together.
I get dressed, finally having full range of motion without aches stopping me.
When we decide to head down stairs, Jo's sitting at the kitchen table going through the security cameras.
"Hey Cole, can you help me with this?" She asks. "I accidentally messed up my settings and I can't figure out what I did."
I walk over, leaning over her shoulder and taking a look.
"Uh... hang on."
I grab my own laptop that I've left here since Bennett's call. I can reset the settings through my laptop because mine and hers are tied. I sit down next to her and open it up.
I open up the programe, but when I try to log in I get a notification.
"You account has been deactivated. Please contact administrator." I read, feeling my frustration starting to build up again.
I let out a frustrated sigh, shutting the screen and pushing the piece of technology away from me a little harshly.
"Can I see yours?"
Jo slides it in front of me and I navigate the programe's advanced settings. I locate the issue and reset it. "There."
"Thank you!" She grins, clicking back onto the surveillance. "Hey, can you show me some combat moves later? I think I should really brush up on mine."
I shrug. "Sure. Just let me know when."
"I will!"
"Hey, where you going?" Jack questions as I slide on my shoes.
"I gotta go pick up Nikki today, remember?" I reply. "It's Sunday."
"Oh shit, is it?" He turns away from the fridge, letting the door close.
I nod, remembering that I have to take my morning after pill, which is down home. Plus I'm supposed to eat a decent amount before taking it.
"Can we stop somewhere for breakfast then?"
I giggle. "I knew you were gonna ask." Then I turn to Jo. "I'll let you know when we get back."
Jo smirks and waves. "Sounds good, Max."
I turn back to her with a wink. Catching the reference to one of my old favorite tv shows, which it turns out she used to watch it too. 2 Broke Girls. "Later, Caroline."
Jack looks completely lost and I press a kiss to his cheek. "You coming, or nah?"
"Yeah." He clears his throat. "Just lemme grab some shoes."
"I'll wait in the car." I call after him as he runs up the stairs.
"Kay."
I wave to Jo before turning to the door and opening it.
To catch Chandler reaching for the knob.
"Oh! Just the girl I wanted to see!" Chandler gives me a look of mock excitment.
"What, Chandler?" I ask defensively.
"Listen, I know you're mad at me and whatever, but can you at least try to be nice about it?" She says, shading her blue eyes from the late morning sun. "Start this over? Give me a chance?"
"One." I say with a tone of finality. "I'll try to be nice to you. But you have one chance."
"Thanks." She smiles a fake smile.
