"What I can't understand is why you used me as a wager when I specifically told you-"
"Bo I have been apologizing for days now, please." I whined out. We were sitting at a lunch table and I had my head resting in my hands.
"I just don't see why you need to control my life as well, I can handle my dating life just fine. And anyways it's just a football game." She mumbled the last part and I groaned.
"Bo you know what happens when you say things like that."
"Yeah hormonal teenagers will have to face the possibility that there is something more in this world than high school football." She sarcastically acted out the last part.
"Wow I love when you talk teen angst to me." I smiled out.
"Haha, you know what I mean. I have never been a fan of football and especially not high school football." She rolled her eyes as she talked and I watched her face fall when she looked behind me. I felt a sharp slap on my shoulder and looked over my shoulder to see Cole smirking down at me.
"I heard about your deal with Hanson and I just want to say, you are a brave, brave man." Cole laughed out, sitting next to me. Bo stood up and immediately left the table. She dumped the bag full of her uneaten lunch and walked out of the cafeteria. I groaned and let my head fall onto the table.
"I royally fucked up." I groaned out.
"Hey it could be worse, we could lose the game and she would actually have to sleep with him." Cole suggested with a mouth full of food. I sat up and glared at him.
"I never said anyone was sleeping with her, I said a date. Where did you get that idea?"
"Mason and some of the other boys on their team have been telling a bunch of people that you just handed Bo over to them as long as they win." He shrugged out. I instantly stood up and put my hand out.
"Phone." My voice was stern and low. Cole handed it to me and I walked out of the cafeteria. I scrolled through his contacts until I came across his. Pushing the phone to my ear I walked outside to the courtyard.
"Hanson." His voice was low and rough as usual. I almost forgot I was agitated.
"Waters." I mimicked back.
"On Cole's phone? Interesting, what do you want?"
"Why am I finding out that your team is telling people that if you win they get to sleep with Bo." It was silent on the other end until I heard some movement.
"I wasn't aware they were. I can't control what they say or do, you should know that being captain and all." He sighed out.
"I guess I don't have to because they know better than to talk about a women like that." I scoffed.
"Do not act like they aren't boys still. I know locker room talk, and I know who your team talks about. Not hard to figure out my ex-girlfriend was the talk of your school for awhile." He laughed out.
"Only because she egged and flirted with the boys, that will rile them up all right."
"And what about you? You ever fantasize about her all over you?" Hanson's voice was sarcastic and I laughed.
"No, that my type."
"What is your type Waters?" Hanson's voice became a little more serious and suddenly became aware of who I was talking to.
"Um nothing grand-"
"You never have really dated, have you?" He cut me off and I sighed.
"Oh-uh-no I haven't. Not really the time or-"
