And what did I get? To my aboslute amazement, she snickered, waved... and started to turn the other direction. What?! I glared with all the power I could muster towards her, hopefully able to telepathically scream her mind numb to get me out of this. But she didn't turn around. Oh yeah, my powers don't work here; I'm not dreaming yet, but if he hits me I could be.
"Chip! Help me!" I yelled angrily out towards my now present enemy.
She stopped and turned around, her maroon skater skirt flowing around her. corssing her arms in front of her, she... just smirked at me. Folks, Chip has gone to the dark side. I sighed, if smirks could kill, or at least do anything at all whatsoever to help me, then doing that could actually be helpful for me.
"Avery Katherine Jane!" I tried one more tactic. We know that once we use our actual names to each other, besides school, then something was definitely wrong, or in the classic teenage layman's terms, "shit just got serious".
That seemed to wipe the smirk off her face and put on mine. She bunched up her shoulders and gave a loud exhale in defeat and slowly walked over, then somewhat jogging to catch up to us. I didn't realize how far we already got. Her play time was, fortunately for me, over. Thank God I was finally going to get my freedom.
"Excuse me mister." she spoke once she caught her breath.
"Yes, go on." He replied.
"Mr... Wilson." She read his tag. "Can you please let my friend go?"
"Friend? Earlier you stated 'never seen him before in your life." He looked at her with confusion.
"Well, the thing is, we were just fooling around but I needed him stop, so the only way could do that was that I ran towards you." She alughed nervously.
"The only way--?" I scoffed.
"Miss, you do know that is is an offense to lie to an officer?"
"Yes Mr Wilson, but you're new here and we did this all the time growing up here so the officer you're replacing knew about this, I didn't know you'd take it so seriously."
Her tone was starting to get filled with more panic and she was starting to look at him with pleading eyes. It took all the strength my face muscles had to keep my mouth shut. Thinking about that ridiculously strong grip still on my arm did help though.
"Well, Mr. Dawson, I can't actually charge you with anything, so you are free to leave. I can, however, charge this miss with providing an officer with false evidence, but today this will only be an official warning." He stared straight at her, and even when he was looking at Chip, I still felt intimidated.
There was a long and uncomfortable silence before he released me and looked at the both of us. "If I hear anymore of this while I'm around, there will be heavier consequences miss." Is that it? She didn't even need to leave the park. I swear, women have all the power with their cute begging puppy faces.
When he left, I didn't notice my muscles were tensed up when I took a deep breath. It was the most relaxing breath I think I've ever felt in my life. All of a sudden and out of nowhere Chip starts laughing, although I would've have a clue as to why she sould be laughing in this situation. Pent up nervous energy I guess, does extremely weird things to people.
I touched the dents of my arm and winced. I really should look at the damage, courtesy of scary officer, or Willams, whatever his name was. I'm not too keen on having to remember this brush with the law. Turning around, I started heading my way to home sweet home. It may not be a mansion, but I grew up there and really liked the cozy feel. While travelling down the picturesque pathway, i could hear footsteps behind me. What's to expect? I'm in a public park for goodness sake, until I heard my name distinctly from a femenine voice, my enemy.
