A jealous heart, an unwanted rival, and one angry burning glare...what do all these things have in common with Solaris...practically EVERYTHING or so Lunaria claimed!
One century had passed between them and they were now lovers in every sense of the word. They both took pride in planning their meeting spots, Lunaria was the one who chose their date location at dusk, and she picked a tranquil little beach in ancient Spain.
Tranquil yes, unpopulated...ha nope.
Solaris grumbled slightly at all the women eyeing him as he walked along the beach without his shirt. The beach was thronged with lovers, and most regrettably, many single men and women all pinning for love. In all honesty, it was very aggravating to him.
Why couldn't Lunaria have chosen a nice secluded beach where they could be alone?
He could feel the eyes of all those women gazing at him, at his body. The focus of their stares was his muscles and abs but most eyes were going down his back to gaze at...he gave a cringe worthy shudder of disgust and continued walking. It was as if he was a piece of meat to a pack of hungry wolves! It made his skin crawl! He just wanted to find Lunaria and publicly state to these...bimbos...that he was a taken man.
He frowned as he realized that even then, these women likely wouldn't care. His mind was focused on finding Lunaria and romancing the hex out of her beautiful silver lips in a fierce kiss, and to no longer feel violated by these carnivorous gazes those vultures gave him. The reason he was shirtless and soaking wet was that had went seashell diving a moment ago and he held a beautiful seashell in his right hand, as he walked. The beautiful conk reminded him of their first sunset together it had all the right shades of pinks, yellows, and orange all blended in a water-colored hue. He smiled she was going to love it.
He left Lunaria to relax on the sand wearing a beautiful silken dress of midnight blue that faded into the many other shades. There were grey lines dotted all in-between the many hues to resemble the lines of a meteorite shower with the faintest flicker of tiny gold sequins that appeared to be dusted onto the dress to symbolize the stars in a nighttime sky.
She looked soooooo beautiful in that dress and Solaris grinned at the thought of her. Only a minute had passed between them when he left to go seashell diving and he grinned even more when he finally saw he...but his smile quickly turned into a startled frown when he realized she wasn't alone. A man was sitting near her and eyeing her. She saw the man out of the corner of her eye and he shifted his gaze to his tequila and took a long sip. Lunaria paid him no mind and instead went back to tracing lines into the sand creating very intricate designs of moons, stars, and suns. The man however shifted his gaze back at her and grinned faintly and Solaris froze. His eyes followed the man's gaze and then went back between this Spaniard and the love of his life. He wanted his feet to move! WHY WOULDN'T THEY MOVE!
The man spoke. "Those are beautiful drawings senorita and you are an even fairer beauty. You must love having your portrait drawn. If I'm not too bold as to say but you'd make a lovely muse for any artist, an Aphrodite to the mighty Ares."
Lunaria turned to the man and spoke. "You are too kind senor. As it may be I do admire praise from a fellow artist, but you are wrong in your assumptions of me. Even though I am a beauty amongst men I do not like my portrait drawn..." She then gave a faint frown of distain and added, "and Aphrodite was a seductress bent on the lust of men, an adulteress, and I am no Aphrodite senor...I am a Diana of the night."
She even smiled as she said that to this man and the man smiled and took her hand. He kissed it and said. "Si senorita I can tell...my name is Emiliano Martin."
