Merida's P.O.V

I woke up in a jolt when the maids barged in to my room.

"Wh-what's going on?" I yawned while rubbing my eyes.

"Her majesty met with the Elders at dawn and settled with an agreement related to your arrange marriage."

What.

"M-marriage? What arranged marriage? I thought it was-"

"I mean, Princess. You are ought to journey somewhere."

What she said made me stop.

"Wait. What?"

Mum entered the room.

"What's going on?" I asked in a slightly irritated tone. What is happening so early in the morning.

"As I mentioned, The Elders, did not approve of you having to stand alone-"

"But mom, I thought we talked this through already! I have you all, Why would you still push me through something I don't want to go?" I exclaimed, She already knows what's going to happen if we're gonna get through this once more.

"I know, Merida. I know." Mother calmly reassures.

She sighed and sat across me.

"You can't lead a clan alone under the law, Even If I believe you can do it alone. It is inevitable. Knowing that you are strong and independent on your own. However, Things are beginning to change. This won't be the end, But a new beginning of something more than you could ever feat." Mum shut her eyes, as she looked down.

"Ever since you brought that boy to the kingdom. Would be the change of course in our history." She said, almost audible.

"Wh-what are you saying?" I said, my nose scrunched as I try to understand what she's trying to imply.

"Wait...you didn't mean-"

"I sent a message to their kingdom, Through a pigeon. They responded and sent a map to their place. Your things and the boat has been set. You are going to travel to the land of Berk." She said, straightforwardly, But with her expression, Is telling something else.

"What?! Alone?" I exclaimed. Is she out of her mind?

"The clan needs us." She sighed.

"And what if the heiress, The future queen, gets into trouble? going to an unknown land, A land we barely heard of, Just because I became friends with that foreign viking! I might not be able to return home!" I panicked. Even more freaked out deep inside.

This can't be happening. I was hyperventilating until I forced myself to calm down.

I can't act rash once again. Life has been pushing me around, And I have always resisted. Even though this is entirely against my will, Considering the conflicts that have already been happening, This must be the price to pay for my life.

It's already tiring enough to be born in royalty.

I was frustrated enough. Until mum sat closer and gave me a hug.

"We too are so worried for you to have this journey taken alone, Under such circumstances, We can't go against the elders. Or, It will be more conflicting to the clan, to the people and to the monarchy." She said, Until I felt something in my hand.

Another symbolic bear crest necklace.

Similar to the one I used to pay for the Witch.

"This is another relic passed down from our ancestors. Unlike the one I gave to you. This one has been said to protect and guide you well throughout your journey." She whispered.

"But mum..." I interjected, but she then attached it around my neck.

"Prepare now, Merida." She said and kissed my forehead before she stood and is about to head outside.

"I will meet out with everyone in the dining hall." She said before she left.

I held the necklace tightly before taking a deep another deep breath and get ready. There's no turning back once more.

Hiccup's P.O.V

Evening came and everyone is in the dining hall. The talks of the strange phenomenon has still been the buzz ever since it occurred, And that was during my short absence.

Later by nightfall, I will have to spectate and observe if these fleeting ships were true.

If I still wouldn't be able to fix this problem, The last option would be, Is to find a new place of us to stay. A new Island, But if it'll chase us.

Guaranteed a curse or something that definitely has to be dealt. Running away from the problem won't be the best solution.

I looked around and somehow felt that I need the solitude for now.

It's quite crowded and I'm not feeling like talking a lot with people.

And so, I decided to grab my meal and take it to my office, Where there's peace and quiet while I work for better and effective solutions to grant to my officials for actions to take place.

Hasn't been quite sunny, Ever since.....

Ever since I stumbled upon that place.

I heaved a sigh and shook my head. That may entirely be more accurate to label as some sort of like a dream before I headed back to reality.

A dream where, playing around the forest like a kid, Is the only thing you could focus on about. No problems to think about for a while.

I found myself spacing out once more and immediately shook my head.

"Get your act together." I muttered to myself, Until suddenly the door creaked open.

"Uh...."

Until what entered the room, that I thought would be a ghost, Turned out to be just mom.

"Gah, Mom, You almost gave me a fright! Why didn't you knock?!" I said, hand to my chest while regaining my composure.

"I'm sorry to have spooked out on you." She chuckled and closed the door, As she sat to an empty chair across my desk.

"How have you been feeling son? I know you must be tired, But, Is there anything else that have bothered you since you returned?" She asked.

"Uhm, Nothing..nothing at-" I said, Until I remembered when...

"Mom, Do you happened to know the Queen of this land, called Dun Broch?" I asked, somewhat I have feeling that there's something I must know of this.

She looked away, As if there was a memory she remembered and is trying to brush it away, Before looking back to me.

"Yes...." She stopped before she continued. My curiosity growing deeper.

"Eleanor...was my bestfriend."
