I widened my eyes in annoyance, sprinting over to the window and hurling it open, watching with aggravation as the four boys stood, smirking upon the ground. "What the fuck are you doing?" I yelled, angrily.
"Kiss and make up, buttercup." Axl teased, making kissy-faces to the air. I flipped him off, allowing them all to descend into fits and giggles.
"Did she know about this?" I bellowed, annoyed to the highest level and then I spun round to face where the girl stood with a lean in her stance, hand resting upon her hip with one leg more bent than the other. "Did you know about this?" I whisper yelled.
"Do you really think I would fucking agree to this?" She growled. I shrugged my shoulders, unsure. "I punched Stevie over you a half hour ago, asshole. Do you think I'd really wanna be in the same room as you right now?" Her voice grew weaker toward the end, as though she were tired.
"You punched Steven?" I asked, brows raised - I didn't know she was that angry. "Over me?"
She rolled her eyes. "Not a good thing, Hudson." She groaned, taking a seat against the couch. I followed over, sitting down upon my usual garden chair, sparking up a cigarette and offering one over. She complied, picking one out and snatching the one from between my lips with a little anger hidden in her fingertips, placing the end against hers as I slowly allowed the edges of my mouth to curl in a smirk. I taught her that, I thought. "You made me so fucking angry." She grunted, handing back the stick. "I don't know what happened to you during that argument but if that's who you are, I'm not getting any closer. You can go fuck yourself if you think for a fucking minute that you can just fuck me and take my dope without being even remotely kind to me."
I shrugged my shoulders. "Then I guess we're back to square one." I said, taking a long drag of the cigarette and holding the toxic smoke within my throat, slowly blowing it out through my nose and gritted teeth. "I'm not changing for a chic, Sloan." I admitted. Which wasn't entirely true; I liked getting to know her and being semi-sober with her and her strange attempts to dodge my difficult questions.
"Oh, Slash, stop being a dick." She growled, storming into the kitchen before returning with a single bottle of my whisky. I held out my hand, expecting to feel the cool glass rub against it as she handed to me my possession, though as she simply rolled her eyes and took a seat, swigging from the beverage, I understood that it wouldn't happen anytime soon. "When I first met you, and you cleaned my cut, you were so kind and sweet." She seemed so genuinely confused. "And-and then you walked with your arm around my shoulder and you said we were friends with a little hug and then I was walked home - by none other than you. What the fuck happened to that Saul? I want him back, not you, asshole."
I sighed, it wasn't that I didn't want to be Sloan's friend, and the more I thought about it, the more I felt bad, my frown softening. "I'm sorry." I said, gently. "I'm an asshole." I shrugged.
"That's it?"
"What?"
"No apologies for accusing me of dating a gay man named Joel, no sorry for making fun of the pills you found-"
"I did not make fun of it." I exclaimed, interrupting her speech. "I was fucking scared." I admitted. "Just like any normal person would be."
"Why would you care?" She grumbled, a light blush coating the tips of her ears.
I shook my head. "The bottle was full, Sloan. You don't take any medication and I don't know what goes on in your head. Do you want to die?" She shrugged, taking a few more sips of the warm whisky. "I don't know how to make people happy, Sloan. I can't make myself happy without drugs or drink."
"Well, what are friends for?" She asked, quizzically. "You help me and I'll help you."
I shook my head. "You don't get attached to things, remember? I fucking do and once I'm addicted to something, I have no self control."
"Then learn some."
"I don't know how-"
"God, it's not fucking difficult, Hudson. I'm asking to be your friend, not to marry you."
"Suck my dick, McCain." I grumbled.
"Was that a threat? Or a request?" She asked, leaning forward in her seat. I grinned slightly, throwing my head back with a little laugh, she was good. And with that she stood, wandering over to the door to a room that was not mine, myself jogging to catch up with her retreating frame, latching my arms around her delicate waist as I nuzzled my head deeply into the crook of her neck, inhaling the sweet and bitter scent. My thumbs traced along the band of her jeans, tugging her around to face me, grinning fairly largely with a cocky tone.
"How about we call it an offer." I smirked, leaning my forehead against hers.
