Sloan
"Where is he?" I growled, rolling my eyes as we slowly crawled around in this shitty red car. Duff had re-joined us earlier this morning, but he refused to look at me as he nursed another bottle of Vodka, and he came alone, without his curly accomplice. "Do you remember what you guys did after you left last night, Duff?" He shrugged and took another swig nonchalantly.
"Dunno." He responded, quietly. I rolled my eyes and faced forward, feeling a little anger bubble within me. Why was he being so difficult?
"It'd be great if you actually tried to remember-"
"He left with two chics, Sloan." He said, rolling his eyes. "Where do you think he is?"
"Oh," I said, voice much quieter. It hurt a little but I suppose I had it coming... Mark wasn't exactly a secret. "Good for him." I shrugged. Steven was passed out next to me and Axl and Duff and Izzy all rested in the back, holding more alcohol than I'd ever seen before. Steven had only just blacked out, severely dosed up with smack as he smiled and giggled drunkenly. Izzy held two cigarettes within his mouth, puffing them amusedly at the same time as he sipped on the cheap wine Axl seemed to own mountains full of. It was called 'Nigh Train' and according to Axl, it held as much energy as eighteen bottles of Cola, though it were only seventeen percent. He seemed content and in his own element, swaying and dancing and singing to the music I couldn't decipher from the radio. We continued to drive around in hopes of finding the mass of curly hair stumbling along the sidewalk, but it'd already been an hour and to no avail, he didn't show.
Duff suddenly sprung to life, pointing over toward the group of seductively dressed girls spoke among themselves. Leaning over Axl, he wound down the window, leaning out with a grin. "Cherry?" He called out, catching the attention of a blonde with strikingly bright red lips. "Where'd your friends live, sweetheart?"
She giggled and shook her head. "Rose and Sally?" He nodded his head. "They took your friend to the Red Veil. He'll be okay, I wouldn't worry."
"Where 'bouts is that?" Axl piped in, his country, deep voice taking over.
"Just down the road, here, and take a left. It's a brown building but it's got huge red lights." She instructed, smiling politely. Duff motioned her over, sliding a note into her delicate and soft hand before placing a kiss on her cheek and thanking her with a quick wink. Then he nodded for us to continue on, myself putting my foot down and jerking him into Axl who grunted and shoved him away.
She was right, the lights were fucking huge. It was practically impossible to miss. They were bright and neon and red and it said 'Red Veil' with the devils horns on the 'R' and the 'V' made into a cocktail. Eventually, we parked up and I turned off the ignition by the wires, looking over at the boys expectantly. "Who's going in to get him?" I asked.
