Benjamin

I took a sip of my liquor. The sting taste hit the back of my throat.

I was in a bar, waiting for Sean, my friend, who supposed to meet with me tonight.

Peeking at my watch, eleven forty-nine. He was thirty minutes late. I waited patiently hoping for him to show up any minutes soon.

I swore, this guy really tested my patient. I was kind enough to wait for another thirty minutes and he was yet to arrive. My fingers clicked on the table.

One more minute you don't show up asshole, I will drive myself straight to your house and give you a present for your face. The one that you really deserve.

Beep. Beep. Beep.

My phone vibrated. I fished it out from my pocket.

Sean
Ben! Am so sorry. Cant make it tonight. Got a pretty in ma house! She needs a company. Peace!

I'm so done with him! This was the second straight consecutive night he couldn't make it to meet me.

Why promise when couldn't even bring yourself to the place, when in the first place, you are the one that asking for the hang out? That shitty guy.

Must've been better if I sit at home and finish my painting.

Taking the last sip, I stood and went out of the bar. While I walked myself to the car park, I saw a girl walking unstably in front of me, perhaps drunk.

She stopped behind my car, then she tried to stable herself while facing the car. One of her hand was placed on my car while another hand of hers was on her mouth, and her body voluntarily jerked. She once again closed her mouth.

Wait! She wants to throw up?  No. No. No. Not there!

" Miss! Miss! Don't throw up there!" I ran towards her.

Even before I arrived at her, she already threw up. Emptying everything in her.

"Oh Fuck! Okay! Great! Just great! Thank you, miss. Thank you very much!" I clapped. Her vomit were all over my car's  boot. I hate this type of night. That's the reason why I always stayed at home and didn't often go out.

Because I hate to deal with every shit like this. Dammit!

I helped the girl to stand up. Her dress was all covered with her vomit. Her face covered with a few strands of her hair mixed with her vomit and sweat.

"I'm so sorry. Sorry. I didn't mean t–" she was once again about to throw up.

"Here. Here. Let's go over here." I led her to a nearby tree next to my car. She threw up as soon as we reached the tree. After she was done, she fell down to the ground as her body went limp.

Just like that, she passed out in my arms.

I was dumbfounded. What should I do?

I reached for my phone and dialed Sean's number.

"Hello, Sean! I have something to ask you. What should you do if you are to meet a drunk girl that has passed out in your arms? Can I just leave her like that? Leaning her on a nearby tree?"

"Wow. Wow. Slow down a bit Ben. Remember breath. Inhale. Exhale. What happened? Who's that pretty?"

"To tell you in short, here's a drunk girl passed out on me in my arms near my car. Now, help me out. Can you come here and help me?"
