Callie dreaded the thought of school. She couldn't be anymore glad that she graduated last year. She left to Canada once she graduated. She was happy to be home though. The situation though with her unwanted imprinting on a vampire wasn't helping her back home feeling.

She sat in her room, glaring at the wall. If looks could burn, the wall would be burned to ash. She had just gotten home after her encounter with the vampire. She was tired.

Sam came charging into her room. "I was on patrol when I heard your thoughts," he started, "you jumped off the cliff? And really? 'Then let it kill us'? What were you thinking?"

"Leave me alone, Sam!" Callie shouted, crossing her arms. She laid on her bed annoyed.

"You can't push this away, Callie! You know who your acting like?"

Callie paused. "Who?" she asked stubbornly. She was always a stubborn little shit since the day she was born. She'd huff and puff till things went her way.

"Mom," Sam shouted. "Your acting like mom when dad left us, left her! Grow up and go apologize."

Callie paused for a moment. The topic of their father leaving them had put scars on their hearts. It was a sensitive topic.

She shrugged it off and began to smirk. "Listen Sam, how about you stay out of my love life, maybe I don't want an imprint."

She heard Paul say from downstairs, "she's never had a love life."

"Shut it, Paul!" Sam and Callie shouted from upstairs.

"Listen Callie, I am your alpha and I order you to go make things right with your imprint, now!"

Callies inner wolf whimpered at the sound of his alpha voice. It was scary.

With a huff, Callie jumped off her bed and pushed past Sam. She rushed down the stairs with him hot on her heels.

"Where are you going?" Sam asked annoyed.

"Off to go talk to Leah," she said and shifted outside, racing to the border. She changed back and put on some shorts and a sport bra. She waited by a tree for Leah to appear on the other side. She had called Leah before Sam barged in her room, and told her she wanted girl talk.

Emily would've been good to talk to too but Sam was always with her.

Callie leaned against the bark and watched the trees as the swayed to the wind.

Leah's wolf appeared and soon she was her human self. "Leah," Callie started.

"I'm sorry, Callie," Leah said first. "How was Canada?"

"It was cold," she said laughing. Leah laughed too. They both sat on the edges of the border with their feet dangling.

"I imprinted," Callie said quietly.

"I know," Leah said slowly. "He's not that bad, you know, he spends most his time in his room upset. He wants to be with you."

"That's not possible! He's a vampire and I'm a shapeshifter. We're enemies." Callie ran a shaky hand through her hair. "Sam wants me to apologize."

"I think you should," Leah said staring at Callie with pity in her eyes. "Jacob is with that hybrid. Soon she'll grow a bit older and they'll be together happily. And me, and the pack will follow him."

"I don't want to talk about Jacob. I hate him, for now," Callie said honestly. She couldn't hate him forever, she grew up with him and same with the other boys.

"I know what it's like to love someone and see them run off with another who they imprinted on. I hated imprinting but it can be a beautiful thing," Leah said thoughtfully.

Callie rolled her eyes. "Whatever you say. I'm going to go, it's getting dark."

"Make sure the choice you chose is one from the heart," Leah last said before changing and running off. Callie replayed her words in her head before shifting herself and running home to get some well earned sleep.
